Lets be honest, who wants to stand up for two hours in a tiny stuffy room with 2000 sweaty people, it'll be to hot, the noise would be so loud you couldn't have a pleasant chat, the beer will be warm and most likely get spilt.

They probably won't be very good either.

I didn't want to go anyway.

I didn't want to hear any new songs, or see great surprise guests.

Sounds like a great idea, cos unless some miracle happens and my wife sells our youngest child (only 3 so were not that attached to him yet ) to fund it, we might as well share the feeling of depression we will all start feeling at around 7 on the 11th!!!

    POST. OF. THE. YEAR.

    Brilliant.

I'm up for the support party... I'll post when I can... i'm on set list duty

Thank you, and I still stick by what I said, Manchester and 02 are the real way to see this band, not some poxy little dingy, historical, legendary venue. :D:);) :(

Ok just got in. The bouncers searched me but luckily they didn't find the pre rolled doobies. Have been to the bar and they asked me for ID (Bless em i'm nearly 30), managed to down a couple of pints of singing juice and now my throats all lubed and ready to rock.

Lets get down the front and have ourselves a great night.

Come on start with "Go"! :D

Yeah! Who wants legendary and historical?! It probably smells of wee anyways... and I bet the wine's expensive too... It's free at home ;)
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

I'm glad I've cheered up some other fans that are missing out tonight :D , but you know what....I waited 7 years between 2000 and 2007 to see them (baby's got in the way 2006) so I am sooooooooo happy to be seeing them twice in two days next week!!!!

I know that they will kick ass especially for the fans that couldn't get there for this one. :D

Im still here too, just the music is downstairs & pc upstairs. DOH!

Its an awesome gig so far, but Manchester & London will be miles better (Honest :? )
  • You guys rule!! I only just checked back here !! :) I got a ticket at the eleventh hour so was able to go but I so hoped that the moral support party wouldn't need to happen cos everyone would be at the actual gig!! :(

Everything went well. It was a great idea to have the moral support party but in all honesty, I am very glad I didn't partake in that! My calfs are still hurting (even since the Nurofen application on the SBE Thanks thread) but all worth it.

London is going to have to be mindblowing to be anywhere near the SBE show. Seen some good reviews if you put Pearl Jam into Google and select the news option.
    :D Rock on!!!! :D
Seen Pearl Jam 4 times in London, once in Manchester, as well as an Eddie show at Hammersmith.
  • LOL! I know, I didn't even move that much but I felt like I had a day at the gym!! I got sooo little work done yesterday!! Thank goodness I am my own boss or I'd have got the sack :))

Were you down the front? I'm just checking out some of the You Tube videos. So many highlights in one show, it's almost impossible to pick a favourite!

I was level with Stone about seven or eight back from the rail. Had a blue Billabong top on. My head was like the Churchill dog if you know what I mean.

Are you just going to stick to a user name? I am awfully confused on who you are these days!
