Hey folks :)

For those of us who can't be at SBE (and that's mostly going to be all the Pearl Jam fanclub members so I'm wondering who all those peeps going to the gig are :-D ) what say you to the idea of having a little virtual party on here? We can listen to our PJ songs at home, have a beer or two, chat on here and give each other a little moral support whilst being with the jamily at the SBE in spirit! :-)

Who's with me? :-)

Lets be honest, who wants to stand up for two hours in a tiny stuffy room with 2000 sweaty people, it'll be to hot, the noise would be so loud you couldn't have a pleasant chat, the beer will be warm and most likely get spilt. ;)

They probably won't be very good either. :)

    I didn't want to go anyway. :?

I didn't want to hear any new songs, or see great surprise guests. :(

Sounds like a great idea, cos unless some miracle happens and my wife sells our youngest child (only 3 so were not that attached to him yet  ) to fund it, we might as well share the feeling of depression we will all start feeling at around 7 on the 11th!!!

Great idea. But I think I would rather go to SBE that night somehow! I have over 4000 songs on my ipod, and more or less every day I play a PJ live performance, an album etc. Everyday should be PJ day!
    :D Rock on!!!! :D
Seen Pearl Jam 4 times in London, once in Manchester, as well as an Eddie show at Hammersmith.

  • A Walkman? Hey I'm still using an old music centre - you know, the size of half a room with a tape and a turntable on the same level? ;-)

Weren't those invented when computers were the size of a ground floor and could do a simple calculation in about five hours? I want my four-track back!

  • Come back Acorn Electron and Spectrum 48k - all is forgiven!!
  • Just remember, by not being in a 'tiny stuffy room with 2000 sweaty people' as julesandian put it, you are dramatically reducing your chances of getting Swine Flu as well. ;)

:D Definately, you see every day a new and better reason for virtual partying and not going to Shepherds Bush.......(tales off and looks off sadly into the distance, a single tear rolls slowly down my cheek)......sorry where was I???? :D

Would we have to drink Beer from plastic cups?
  • LOL! I don't know but maybe you need to get someone to search your bag before you attend the virtual party and don't forget, no cameras, weapons or glass bottles man! ;-D

All bottle tops would be removed and we would have to all hire burly security too in order to stop us having a good time!

  • Awesome. They can stand on our front doorsteps and look really unimpressed by the music, whilst chewing gum and pretending to use their ear pieces :)

so, whats up people?? i have some song requests...
    -Indifference
    -Alive
    -Jeremy
    -Last Kiss
    -Mankind
    -Daughter
    -Small Town
    -Black
just noticed, that those are basically all old songs...

  • I've been feeling gutted all day today. I haven't been able to listen to Pearl Jam on my ipod at all today because it's been depressing me so much - just the thought that they are IN MY CITY RIGHT NOW and I can't go and see them is just too much. :( :(

I've even skipped In Hiding on my ipod just because it would depress me, and I NEVER skip that song usually, lol.

Dammnit, I hope they play In Hiding on the 18th. That would be fantastic. ;)
