  • I like your vibes.

Will be doing the same, if I luck out in the lottery tonight.

a bit of positive energy always goes down well.

I just hope many people have a similar thought tonight, and this place has plenty of spares floating around.

People who know me know how much i will enjoy this show, it means the world to me....I'm hoping against all hope that i get lucky tonight.....

    Hi folks,

I have two tickets to see Pearl Jam play Shepherd's Bush on my Birthday.

I just can't bear to read any more about entitlement and organisations fucking up and anger.

Wow, that's going to be one awesome birthday. Completely agree with your other statement which I've pasted too.

I was one of the unlucky ones not to get a ticket this morning.

TBH I've been unlucky every time I've tried except once - back in the Point in Dublin in 2000. I got the tix for my bro for his birthday (he was gone all 'mellow dance' at the time  )

So, with him complaining, I dragged him along. He did not shut up about it for a month (and still speaks of it to this day) Best gig he (or I) have ever been to.

This yr is his 30th. Both of us growing up etc. we don't get out for gigs like we used to. he lives in London now. I thought I'd do everything I could to try and get to Shepherds Bush. After all - the only gig better than a PJ gig, is an intimate PJ gig :P

With that in mind, I ain't losing hope. I'm going to check online this evening and see if the lottery here has changed my luck.

If not - it'll be a shame, and I'll try harder (possible??!) next time.

If so - it'll be the best night out this aging rocker will have had for many a year :D

Anyways - good idea for a thread. Congrats to you and the others who got/will get tix. Hope to see yis there, but if no - enjoy the show :)

I'm not going to bull shit you by writing some 400 word essay or whatever. All I wanted to say is that it would mean the absolute world to me if I could get to see Pearl Jam at Sheperds bush. I've never seen the band once (yes, I'm a young fan - 17), but it would be a dream come true if I could get to see my favorite band in the world at a venue like this one.

Tremors, if you do have spares in the end, then it really would be hugely appreciated if I was able to buy one or two off of you. If not, then I understand completely that the choice is hard and many other fans also deserve to see them just as much as me, and it's your decision at the end of the day.

Just know I'll be waiting man, at the end of the day all I want is for everyone to have an amazing time. :)
What the fuck is this world?

Wouldn't it be great if 10C had more tickets than we think they have and everyone on the board gets sorted for the lottery :D This is the positive thought i'm trying to sustain in my little dream world...think positive people :)

If anyone gets a spare and would like a free lift from anywhere south of the M62 and east of Sheffield, please PM me. If the offer of a chauffeur doesn't tempt you, I can offer one of the following.

    A) One of my children.
    B) A pair of adorable, cute black Labradors called Bella and Lulu.
    C) A full set of Esso Mexico 1970 world cup coins.
    D) An unused Bullworker (still boxed).
    E) Sex with an overweight 47 year old man with possible erectile dysfunction
    F) All of the above ;)

Seriously good luck to everyone in the lottery and those that scored tickets through HMV. Looks like I probably won't be going, but the M.E.N and O2 the following week will undoubtably ease the pain.

OK, I am going to take a shot at this and try and be as swift as possible about it. Over the years Pearl Jam has meant so much to me. I have never had a band that I could call my own until I discovered them. I just ate every song up by them in such a short period of time. I have been shut out of a few "hard" tickets in the past most notably The Vic in 07 in Chicago after spending 4 hours trying to get tix for me and my girl. Similar to this morning when I woke up at 4 am and tried for a hour to get tix to no success. I have also never been to Europe before and August 11th will be my first day in London ever....................crazy I know. I am so excited to visit and have heard many awesome things about it. I can think of nothing better than to be surrounded by cool PJ fans in this venue on my first day of London hearing amazing songs off the new album the first time they are ever played live (or one of the first) and to hear some amazing songs from the backcatalog that have shaped my life. I just need one by the way and I would be giving out extras to fans myself if I have them or if I get them.

wtf is a "world cup coin"?

Back in 1970 the soccer world cup was held in Mexico. When you filled your car up at an Esso service station (in the UK) you were presented with a shiny metal coin depicting the image of an English soccer star, Bobby Charlton, Bobby Moore etc. There were 30 ( I think) to collect and you were given a di-cut card with 30 holes in, to hold the coins. If and when you had collected the whole set, you were then in possession of something more valuable than eternal life itself (well it seemed that way to a 7 year old boy at the time). But in reality, they are now worth about £28 ($56).

You are a funny man Fender Man hehe

I was meaning to ask you actually, in your post you mentioned 'possible' erectile dysfunction. This intrigued me - by 'possible' do you mean you don't know whether you have erectile dysfunction? (as in, you've been told, but have no memory of said events), or that you aren't sure that your everyday condition is actually erectile dysfunction? (as in, all men could be this flaccid but you have no frame of reference), or do you simply mean that the lucky recipient of your offer might have to cope with the 'possibility' of an occurrence of said dysfunction (as in, 'sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't' (darling)

Could you elaborate for me (seeing as you brought it up)

Thanks mate. £28 sounds a bargain for that collector's set. I have the completed book of Empire Strikes Back Panini stickers by the way, do you think that might fetch me anything on ebay?
