The only gig I've missed that I wanted to go to is Pearl Jam at the Astoria in 2006.

    agreed

try having your dad always wanting to take you to a grateful dead ever since you were born and only to have your mom say no cause 9 years old is to "young"for a grateful dead concert. that grateful dead concert turned out to be the final dead concert ever at msg. now THAT'S soul crushing.

the point everyone is trying to tell you(OP) is that music is important to many people in life but there's more to life then just music. OP you will understand this when other things are more important then a concert. i don't know how old you are OP but every post i've seen of yours come off very holier then thou or the "i'm right and you're wrong" attitude.

Its a sickening feeling. Pit of your stomach feeling.....

So missing shows like these, or any shows are devastating to me. ....
    .

This is a bit 'drama queenish'. If missing a concert is considered rock bottom to you, I hope nothing serious happens to you or your love ones in your life. There are LOTS of 'worse feelings than missing a concert'. Open your eyes to world.

Of course it's disappointing but, as one already said, it's not the end of the world, whatever music means to you.

yes u are right.life and health is number one priority.especially your love ones.In Venice i was searching a friend in all Mestre hospitals after the scene broke and fall into people.but when i find him later in the hotel.the look that we had,we was so sad.we couldnt speak.we didnt say anything till the next day arrive in athens airport.when u dream something for months and the only thing left is the thought of "why this happen to me".And this was all around for a long time
