Now that the Springsteen shows have been sold out (mostly), I'd bet we get an announcement about the other Pearl Jam show(s) Wednesday, with a public sale Friday.

So are you thinking no 10C sale for this one?

I still think it will be next week. Because the NBA schedule has not come out yet and I think they're going to not just announce the Philly shows, but fill in the gaps between Seattle and LA and SD and Philly, as well as announce Australia and NZ dates. I read on one of the Australian music sites that tour info was coming in August.

So we just have to wait a little longer.
You might be right about Australia/NZ/West, but I don't think the NBA schedule is a factor -- It's not uncommon for there to be two or even three big events at the Philly sports complex at once.

Not for Philly, but for the other shows to fill in the gaps. You can't play outdoor shows in many venues in mid to late October.
I'm sure promoters can get their hands on sporting event schedules before they are released to the public.
one other thing I thought of is maybe they are trying to do the paperless ticketing that Bruce did today for the additional shows. I can see PJ getting behind something like that, especially with a show that will be in such high demand.

I'm not sure it's necessary, since most/all of the great seats will be 10-C, which distributes them in a similar manner.

my friends that are not exactly "in the know", so to speak, keep saying "my friday tix say venue finale" on them... i keep telling them it will not be the last show
it seems like false advertising at this point... i know a few people that are pumped to be going to the "final" show at the spectrum.. and they are going to be heartbroken when they have to drop $200 more for the real last show
it is printed on the 10/30 ticket though that it is the last show

If that's true, that was really dumb and unnecessary on The Spectrum's part. That show would have sold out no matter how they billed it.

I agree, outside of events booked months ago, if PJ is playing arenas through Sept/Oct- they may have to wait for the NBA schedule. But most areans probaly have it by now, if the public anouncment is next week. Most places proably have to block any reservations until the NHL/NBA schedules are done to know what dates are going to be available. This won't effect the spectrum, but other palces in the country it may.
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...
it's not false advertising if, at the point the sale was made, the information was accurate based on the information the seller had at that time. just like 10C saying there are no further shows planned at this time, until a show is confirmed, it is still tentative and therefore it does not exist.

I don't get all this "false advertising" stuff about the last show. What does it matter if they are there Friday instead of Saturday? Do you think they are going to give away all the seats in the building or something after the last show? Should they add 10/31 it will still be Pearl jam, on stage for 2.5 hours. Just like the Friday show. What is the difference?

(add in a 10c presale on thursday, perfection!)
and sure, perhaps OTHEr shows will be added elsewhere, but that's still no reason to necessarily delay the announcement of additional philly show(s).
i also would think oz and nz will get their own, specific announcement.....and if there are additional US dates beyond the philly shows, it could be announced seperately as well. there is no reason to hold back or hinge a philly announcement on any of the other shows.

I agree, mostly because the Oz announcement should get a heads up first to make sure fans have their membership info up to date. for Philly, the same membership deadline as the original announcement should apply.

and non-entity, the aussies and kiwis already got a 'heads up' about shows, just waiting on the official announcement of dates. as to additional philly dates, i think 10c can do whatever they want in regards to when must be a member....does not necessarily need to hinge on that first announcement, but whatever. i just want the show on the 31st, i want an announcement, i want a 10c sale, and yes...i want a 10c ticket!
*and actually, a monday 10c sale date would be 'better' for me, b/c my workday - especially this time of year - usually gets a LOT busier as the week rolls on....but whateva.....i just want what i said above.

i believe that's been up awhile, seen it a few times posted here.
honestly, i would like to think if the rumors were 100% unfounded, no hope at ALL, that 10c would tip us all off and end the speculation. and the fact that it hasn't happened, gives me hope, rightly or wrongly. that's my story and i'm stickin' with it.
sorry if this was discussed and I missed it today, but it looks like Bruce added 2 more shows at the Spectrum today. Oct. 13 and 14 went on sale this morning, and now the Comcast site says Oct. 19 and 20 have been added.
If I recall, Boston 03 or 00, oh shit I can't remember the year, but anyway the third show rumours were pretty huge then.
