    Posting...my boss is literally illiterate (And a huge jerk to everyone) and is running the store into the ground, while the senile owners are too busy not giving a fuck to notice.

    ugh i get paid a bag of peanuts at the end of the week and Im responcible for big parts of people's weddings, dances, and sometimes relationships :shock: yeah I'm florist, and i dont get paid nearly enough for the pressures these people put on me! have you ever dealt with a bridezilla? not pleasant :evil:

    I made $30 an hour....all day today.....

    And i slept in the truck for 2 hours...
    Woke up and read the newspaper for an hour.....
    Then i walked across the street and got some coffee.....came back to the truck and read the newspaer for another hour.....

    Then i actually worked for the next 4 hours.....If you call driving around smoking cigs and listening to the Cubs game work.....

    Today was a good day.....
    Take me piece by piece.....
    Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....

    yep I do. I think our generation is destined to hate our jobs. The two movies that are essential viewing for our generation-Office Space and Fight Club, both arent just antijob, they are antiwork or antiwork in terms of what "they" view as acceptable work.

    I hate it. I wake up dreading going to work. Every second I am at work i wish I was somewhere else. I go to bed dead tired and wake up dead tired. My days off are spent hoping the weekend was somehow longer than the weekdays.

    yes, my cube farm job sucks. If it weren't for writing my novel, and enjoying electricity and a place to plug in my Mac... I would chuck it and live in my car.

    ...but I am too middle class America. So I go to work to pay the bills and dream.... and write....

    I have in the past, but they all served their purposes. All jobs no matter how trivial teach you something. and I was able to enjoy something about each. :)

    I actually like where I work and my job I've been there 8 years

    3 Weeks Vacation - 7 Personal Days - Can carry up to 12 Sick Days per year - Quarterly Bonuses - 10 mins from my house

    i'd just like to have one to hate at this point. i was laid off at the end of May-beginning of June & have been looking ever since. i have a few really strong leads at various school districts around here, but i have to find something that works with my heavy course schedule this Fall, and that's not easy to do. i just keep my head up and keep going. i have an interview w/ one of the larger school districts this week, so send me some good juju! i'm just glad that my wife has a job & that we're both big-time savers. otherwise....it wouldn't be as tolerable. i just keep telling myself that i only have ONE MORE year to go in school. then, i shouldn't have to worry about things like this anymore. i'll actually (for the 1st time in my life) be doing what i've been wanting to do for a long time. i'll be working at a job that challenges me & that i truly love. sorry for the rambling rant. it's just a tad frustrating is all.

    I hate some aspects of my job but I'm glad to work someplace that's making a difference in people's lives. Also in this economy, Im just glad I have a job.
    These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.

    all i have to say is fuck work...i work in a refinery and shift work sucks ass. granted, on the night shift if everything is running smoothly we'll sleep or watch movies all night. even so, i've been working there for almost 2 years and i'm worn out every fucking day. i'm looking for a career change with my cousin and hope he's serious about starting up something soon. and i apologize if my fuckin language offends anyone :lol:

    unemployment is less than what i was previously earning but i saved for a rainy summer :twisted:

    i'll probably start my own business soon since every application (you must apply for jobs to receive unemployment) i have submitted has been ignored 8-)

    the apartment pool is absolutely the best :!:

    there are certain aspects of my job that are less than pleasant...but that is just something that comes along with working retail. overall...i absolutely love what i do :D

    I work in retail and Im on vacation starting tomorrow. This will be the first vacation Iv'e taken in almost 3 yrs. But as far as liking my job goes. Some days I really hate dealing with the public, Other days I get pissed off becuase Im the only person in my dept and I have a lot of tasks that I have to get done( planograms,Freight ) and I still have to wait on customers and If any of you have ever worked in retail you know it's almost impossible to have to do all three and actually get anything done.
    I am however very grateful to have a job right now but I just wish I could find something that I was passionate about because then it wouldn't be just a job.

    I'm with you. Except for a temp job (which ended sooner than projected) in the spring I've been out of work for a year. I'm fortunate that my husband's job is secure but I hate being unemployed.

    I feel bad saying I hate my job since there are tons of people out there who have been laid off and cant find any work. But there are some days where I sit at my cube and really ponder if this is really what my life has become. The sad part is I'm only 26 and I have a whole lifetime of working ahead of me.

    Don't feel bad for saying it. I can't even tell you how miserable I was at my last job. I have held some gratifying jobs in my career but for varying reasons had moved on, and I found myself feeling similar to what you describe. Everyday I was sitting in a crummy little cubicle wondering how I'd wound up there.

    Even though I've been out of work a long time, I'm not sorry I left that job. One of my friends told me it was sucking the life out of me. And I know I said I wish that I had a job to hate right now, but I honestly don't want to go back to that feeling again for anything.

    I really hate to complain b/c I am very grateful to be employed right now but, I honestly think the job I have right now is the worst job I have ever had. They treat they're employees like shit and throw ridiculous deadlines on us. I have worked almost every holiday we have had with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas. I was actually asked to work over Christmas and said no. I actually left a job where I got 5 weeks vacation a year for this shit. The place feels like a prison. Sorry for the rant, not a good subject for me right now.

    Just got a raise yesterday.....

    Actually the raise was supossed take effect 2 months ago.....

    So this week I will get all the money they owe me on that raise....In one lump some....
