It just said there were 3 standing tickets left, but then came up and said they had all gone.

I managed to get some earlier, selected to have them posted but then I needed to enter my postcode for my delivery address, after I did that it flashed up saying there were none left. urrrrrghh that makes me mad because now I think if I had just picked them up from the venue I might have got some!!

I got there was 1 standing ticket left and I'm now wishing I hadn't selected the post it option...if only...and I stupidly waited till 9 on the dot...

    I was in at 9..
i had 2 tickets in my basket and I can't buy them..
    I can't see the concert!
    terrible!!
  • OK folks listen up!

I just called HMV - took me 20 minutes to get through BUT the guy said they have had a massive problem with the link not working properly and they are going to rectify the problem and send a new link to those who pre-ordered! He said there ARE still tickets available but it's because the link doesn't work properly that some of us are missing out. So basically he said to keep looking at your email inbox today as a link will come back through. He also took my order number (from the CD preorder) and logged the call so that they know it is a genuine request - they advise other fans with the same issue (ie waited for checkout then said none available) can also call HMV customer service on 0845 603 8576 (go for the option for website queries) too if they want their call logged and noted. I honestly don't know if this will work or not but the helpful chap I spoke to was insistent that there are tickets still available for pre salers and we have not completely lost out. I guess it is worth a try eh!

  • The boys must have sold a lot of copies of Backspacer in order for us fans to have our precious 'unique' links which were in fact completely useless.

Anyone know when does the O2 presale starts? On the priority site it says on Thursday, but no time?

I got on at 8:55am and didn't get any, so don't kick yourself, it wasn't a guarantee. The whole site was reduced to a crawl as soon as they went live.
  • If anyone does get through to HMV as per my previous post (about HMV saying tickets ARE still available) then please can you let us know how you get on? I am keen to know if they are just saying that to fob us off or if it is really true!

Also - I made a formal complaint that they had sold tickets to people who went straight off and put them on Ebay and they said they are going to be investigating it. Whether they do or not, I don't know, but would be nice to know they have some kind of genuine concern for their mistake.

general sale starts at 09:00 on Thursday. i bet the priority sale will start at the same time... they'll keep a bunch of tickets separate for 'priority'. that's my guess anyway.

    depressed...

The fact that they told you that there might be a second link is great, but I now KNOW that I won't get any work done today!!

Well done for at least mentioning it. They may be attempting to simply save face amongst the fans, but the least we can hope for them to make it harder for the scalper bastards to get ebay sales.

Am on the phone to them now, (well listening to some crap music at the mo) - thanks Goddess for that ray of hope! Do we have to phone them for the second link?

However, I hope they are not saying it to string us along in case we cancel our preorders. I was just about to but I guess I won't now until I know there's a second link coming.

Why couldn't they have tested the links before they put them out like this?

Please let us know how it goes. I won't be able to phone them, so I need to rely on on everyone else to pass along the information as it comes in :)
