Anybody know if there will be a PJ poster or will they all be OSL posters? I just want one to hang in the game room.

    Thanks

i will fight down the front.
Well, I suggest you don't come near me then. Because I am certainly not letting up front some smartypant hanging out at other stages all day and then try to make their way up to the front while all the rest of us stayed there all day just to keep our spots. So, yeah, good luck with that.

Wow, it looks like i plan on starting a fight down the front  na thats not my idea of fun  i should read my posts and i might have said i will fight my way down to the front. festival crowds come and go so assuming incubus are on the stage before PJ, i will start to move in before then when people move out 8-)
we will wait till we see the timetable, but i dont see the point of standing on a rail all day waiting for just 1 band while missing others that they want to see

Since you seem to know the city and it's nice/rough areas, can you tell me wich place would be the best to stay or wich one you suggest not to stay.
    Larkin / Ellis
    Broadway / Kearny
    Bay / Franklin (Fisherman' Wharf)
Ofarrell / Mason (near Union Square Park)

    thanks for your help

    1) Bay/Franklin

    2) Broadway/Kearny (It's next to a lot of gentlemen clubs...so it may increase or decrease the ranking depending on what you like or don't like 8-) )

    3) Ofarrell / Mason

    4) Larkin / Ellis

Bay/Franklin is by far the best place out of the 4 choices. Of/Mas & Lar/Ell are in an area that has drug issues and just people "down on their luck". Broad/Kearny I have already commented on this area above.

You should also try using google maps and its street view to look at the areas.

    Cheers.

Hey! I'm going to outside lands and should be in san fran by 7pm thurs by the airline itinerary and staying with an old high school friend. she lives at 6th ave and market (i think market is the crossing street, not sure entirely)....

I know she'd be up for meeting at a bar to celebrate or what have you.......

6th STREET. confusing the two is trouble.

    Very true. ;)

Real cool, glad this post is coming to something. I'm still down for whatever is planned...figuring the locals know the place best.

The other Green Tortoises, let's find each other at that hostel.

Also, a bit off topic, but looking to go caving on Sat or Sun if anyone is interested.

What time are you all lining up at the gate? :D
That is what I want to know. :)

I'm going there (from Montreal) for PJ and I want to be sure to get a good spot. Since I have a high 10c number, festivals or GA are almost the only chance I have to get close to the stage.
So I'll be there early and I'll probably stay in front of the same stage during the entire day. My bigest concern is that I'll be there alone and don't want to lose my spot for natural needs... :? I'll have to make good new friends I guess.

I think I'll go to the HI Fisherman's Wharf. It's close to the water and acording to mookie_in_eugene (10c member who's my new travel agent), it's the best area for a stay. ;)

I'm way too claustrophobic to go caving. I prefer hiking or kayaking. I'm actually looking for a good spot.

I'll be right there with you because my number is horrible too.

 I’ve been to this place and would recommend it as a meeting spot. Very close to festival site, good food and drink, great rock jukebox, TV’s showing world sports and a pool table.

Thanks for the suggestion. This will be our #1 choice.

FYI to everyone - I now have a 3 day pass available at face value ($225, which includes fees). If anyone knows someone looking for a 3 day pass please pass on the information to me. Thanks.

I'll be there. Gates for the show open at 1. So I'm gonna be at this bar early to get my drink on. This should be the pre party spot for the festival

I'd be down to help host something. I have connections with lots of bars here in town through my job. I'd love to be on this commitee. Hit me up.

If anyone isn't going to Sunday... I am hosting my own charity golf tournament and would love to have you play or come. I will be raising money for the Boy Scouts of America and will be featuring much of my Pearl Jam/ Eddie artwork in the silent auction that follows. Its guaranteed to be a cool event. Happening at Tilden Park Golf Course on Sunday August 30. Let me know if you'd like to be involved... Good cause... good friends.. good times.

    Cheers.

I was wondering when you were gonna show up your lovely face under this thread :D
This is really not anything official but you know you might want to talk with FoxyMop. They might be interested in having a Wishlist party.
