“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world.
This is a curious turn of events ...

I dunno about that. It's been over 3 years since s/t, which had a boatload of b-sides that never saw the light of day. We should be due another double b-side album by now.

Either way, we'll get another new song before Sept 20, which is a good thing

Agreed! I'm hoping for several Backspacer b-sides...but my hopes are not too high
Second, how do we know about these other tracks? I mean, sure, most bands discard some songs along the way when they're doing an album, but are you saying there are completed songs we never heard? Because they sure didn't play any of these so-called b-sides on tour, or did I miss something?
First, semantics.
Second I recall there being a Danny Clinch interview where these songs were brought up. He said something to the effect of there being a reason they've been held back thus far but that he couldn't say any more than that.

Personally I'm just buying the single for the white vinyl
Guess it's cool that "Supersonic" is on there -I haven't heard that one yet-
According to that German magazine it sounds like a wild little tune.
Sea?
Kat?
Tim?
Anybody?

Hi K-
It is a long story, but here goes...Ed and I were playing some records at my place, listening to some Guided By Voices, arguing about which Robert Pollard nugget was better Bee Thousand or Do the Collapse, after a few bottles of Bordeaux specifically Chateau Mouton Rothchild, Eddie is like "You are right Bee Thousand is better do you want to spin the Fixer single? ", and I am like "sure", then I suggest making Supersonic the B Side, because after all we heard Got Some on Letterman, and Eddie says "your right again chad" he calls Brendan and the rest is history...
