I'm assuming that's your son in your pic and he's just adorable. We're expecting our first (a boy too!) in three months and are madly excited about the prospect of meeting him for the first time. I'll be 33 weeks when I see Pearl Jam in London and hope he appreciates coming along - he certainly seems to love music already from all the kicking and wriggling I've been getting so far

Good luck with settling into family life!
Thank you, that is my little boy, predictably for me he's called Edward
Congrats. I remember doing the same thing with a Tool song. I didn't know any Lullabies & just sang the 1st song that came to my head & out came tool. Enjoy, Being a Father is Awesome
Congratulations!
You know that we all started singing Who You Are as a lullaby in our heads when we read your story. Consider it a spiritual salute to your son.
All the best to you and your family!
I would like to thank everybody for their kind comments
Some of your comments going to end up in this picture baby book I'm making for him...
So thanks again... And regarding sleep: i had no idea that such a little person could produce such a sound! Still managed to get some sleep however. So I'm less sleep deprived

Congratulations, my first was supposed to be born July 10th- she came in May instead!
You are in for quite a journey- Don't forget to sleep when the baby sleeps.

I hope my husband is as excited as you are. I can't help but wonder how a dad feels when he doesn't carry the baby around prior to the birth for 9 months. Some things I read say it takes the dad's a long while to bond, I don't always think that's true. I love how over the moon you are.

While everyone is different, I don't understand how it would take long to bond... I got to spend about 15 minutes alone with my little guy while my wife was still in the operating room, and in about 5 seconds, I was in love.
To the original poster - congrats, and enjoy every minute of it... the sleep will return (although not like your pre-dad days lol).
My son is 18 months old, and through every stage so far, I think that he can't get any better - but does... but I already find myself missing things that he did when he was younger.
