us World Champion fans will face the ultimate decision come the last week of october.....OH BOY....

I was at all 3 (4 if you count the restart game) WS games in philly last year. That being said, and since I'd only be missing game 1 of the WS, I'd choose PJ at the Spectrum. The Phils would have another home WS game that week...there will NEVER be another chance to see PJ at the Spectrum.

Plus, PJ shows usually end around 1130...WS games don't end until around midnight. so there's a good chance I would be watching the last inning or two at mcfaddens.

And the Dodgers don't scare me. Torre's up to his old antics of frying that bullpen. Belisario might be out for the year. he is the first of many casulties to come from Torre's bullpen irresponsibility.

And I am really hoping the phils aren't signing Pedro today. He has sucked for the last 3 years...what makes anyone think he will be good this year? I don't get it

I like what ya did here, Jeags. Quite the antagonist. I guarantee more posts of Philly hatred will follow....."Phillies suck...blah blah blah...", so on and so forth.

With all due respect to Philly fans, the only thing that will give you guys even a remote chance of another WS appearance is a trade fro Roy Halladay.

The Phillies were four games behind both the Wild Card and NL East races last September 10th. Baseball is a funny game...

As to which I'd choose if the Phils and Pearl Jam are playing across the street from each other, I honestly don't know.

He had nagging shoulder and quad/groin injuries the past few years which are reportedly not an issue anymore, and the Phillies have seen him pitch twice in the last week. I'm hearing the deal is for $2MM roughly, so if he sucks, they won't hesitate to pull the plug.

they saw him throw simulated games against their Dominican League farm team (which is lower than A ball level). I don't think that proves much.

I guess they aren't risking much. I think they would be better suited to use that money to sign their draft picks, international free agents (for once), or allocate those funds to a contract they may acquire in a trade.

Mostly, I just don't want to root for that guy...he is a gherri-curled douchebag. I'm not expecting much from him.

at least they finally cut ties with coste...what an albatross he was. great story, crappy player

I hear you Fixer. Good points. At the end of the day I'm just having faith in our scouts who have been right on a lot of their assessments recently.

Agreed on Coste. I won't miss that beer league swing.
