us World Champion fans will face the ultimate decision come the last week of october.....OH BOY....

I've actually thought about this myself. At the end of the day I think I'd choose Pearl Jam. Besides I think Oct 30th would be one of the first games of the series instead of a deciding game.

I was actually about to post the same topic.

If the Yanks are in the World Series there is no shot I am at Pearl Jam

    Side note......

It is unreal what has happened to Phillies fans. 1 World Series Championship and all of a sudden they are the 27' Yanks.

Many teams have won the 1 World Series, don't get too far ahead of yourself. Granted, the NL is terrible.

I can't say for sure. If I was a Phils fan, it would be Pearl Jam, because they just won the world series! If I was a Yanks fan, it would be Pearl Jam, because they have won 26 (right) including at least 4 in my life time. But as you can see, I am an Indians fan, and our luck has not been there. (Un)Fortunately, it won't be a problem this year, no World Series, no Pearl Jam.

But that is definitely a problem I would like to have!
words seem so out of place.

Considering the debate is either watching the greatest band in the world take the stage, or watching your asshair grow, I'd take the band. Really? Watching a 4 hour game of nothing over Pearl Jam playing a 2.5 hour show live?

I've never understood the interest in baseball. Sorry. People have tried convincing me. I can't figure it out.

Go with the show. Tivo the game. You won't regret it.

Weird, I'm just looking over my post and trying to decide if "asshair" is one word or two. I'm calling it one. Deal with it.

Yes, Please keep those dates open! God Bless You! Working at a Yankees World Series Game or Pearl Jam at the Spectrum? I was there in 1999 and 2001, there is nothing like it. This is not the last time you will get to see Pearl Jam. I think this is the only time I am hoping I don't get to see Pearl Jam.

If the Yanks make it I will be there with you jumping up and down as they beat the "dynasty"
    that is the Phillies

To each their own. I love music but will surely get to see Pearl jam in concert again. Watching the team I grew up watching every summer, day in and day out win the World Series. No comparsion to me. Baseball it is.

As a Yanks fan, the Red Sox should have put the Yanks away a long time ago. The fact that the Yanks are a game out without beating them is incredible in my opinion. I don't think Boston is nearly as good as they are made out to be this year. We will wait and see.

Don't get too excited fellas. A long way to go. I highly doubt the first 8 games between the red sox and yanks are any indication of how the AL East turns out.

Thought the Red Sox are 8-0 against the Yankees this year, the last thing I am is positive that the Red Sox will win the east. There is still half a season to play and many things can happen. Going into the season I thought it would be a 3 team race and I still do. The Rays have been playing better and arent far behind right now either. They played really good in June. I picked the Sox to win the division and the WS. Im sticking by that. I also picked the Yankees to grab the wild card. I still think that will happen too. On a different note, It will be interesting to see who gets Roy Halladay. Looks like the Phillies are the front runners. If they get him, they will have a really good chance at repeating.

Absolutely, a lot of baseball to play. This is why I love the game some much. It is definitely a 3 team race and the wild card is surely coming out of the Al East. I personally don't think the Rays will be in it in the end. they have a lot of talent but I dont think they can handle it 2 years in a row. In addition, they have not be as lucky with their starting pitching health as they were last year.

The Red Sox have a solid team and absolutely own the Yankees so far (damn that is hard to type), I just love the team the Yanks have this year. A couple of pitchers need to get there shit together asap....I am looking at you Joba and Pettitte, but if they can and Wang can come back healthy with proper rehab, I like the teams chances. Going to be a fun second half for sure, the AL East always seems to be!

    Yup...in May...

Which team has the better record since then, as opposed to the team who lost three straight to Baltimore much more recently...at home ?

The only way I would even consider this if it was the Blue Jays against the Cubs. I would have to be behind home plate or beside the dugout - and even then, I think I would take the Pearl Jam show. IF I was first 5 rows of an intimate show.

The Sox win the Series twice and their fans think they're god's gift to baseball. The funny thing is, no one cared about the Sox when they sucked, then all of a sudden they're good and everyone's a fan. I know it happens in every city (yes, it happened in Philly, too), but there isn't a bigger group of obnoxious assholes than Red Sox fans.

Don't ever compare the phils to the yankees of the 90's. That's a fucking insult to the 90' yankees. Those 90's yankees were stacked from top to bottom. Even the bench was stacked. You won your first world series in how many years and your comparing the phils to the 90's yankees that's ballsy and really just flat out stupid.

With all due respect to Philly fans, the only thing that will give you guys even a remote chance of another WS appearance is a trade fro Roy Halladay.

    Side note......

It is unreal what has happened to Phillies fans. 1 World Series Championship and all of a sudden they are the 27' Yanks.

Many teams have won the 1 World Series, don't get too far ahead of yourself. Granted, the NL is terrible.

yeah...didnt we take 2 out of 3 from you a little ways back?

and about us fans, deal with it. if we pull the trigger on halladay, we have an excellent shot at being the first nl team to repeat in 30 years and to join your late 90's yanks as one of the greatest teams in the free agency era.

Yea you can have halladay but ya gotta take veron wells 20 mil year contract to

Don't ever compare the phils to the yankees of the 90's. That's a fucking insult to the 90' yankees. Those 90's yankees were stacked from top to bottom. Even the bench was stacked. You won your first world series in how many years and your comparing the phils to the 90's yankees that's ballsy and really just flat out stupid.

    Well said.

Phillies fans are unreal this year. True story, I just had a buddy telling me that the Phillies have the best offense in the history of baseball. You can't make this stuff up.
