I'd have to go with the Superbowl tickets.
Airfare and everything included for both..
I couldn't care less about the Super Bowl. Now if you make it tickets to the college football national championship game with the Buckeyes playing... I'll take that over PJ. Or Tigers world series baseball tickets.0 -

That was a helluva game. I'm still crying over the Buckeyes blowing their lead over Texas in the last few minutes of play this past bowl season.

Not that I'd pass up Superbowl tix if offered, I'd freakin' love to go, but, if I had to choose between the 2, the PJ show.
the superbowl is the most overrated game in the nfl. seriously who wants to go to a football and have to be in the stadium at 3pm and wait around for 5 hours and sit there watching shitty pop artists.Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight

F the Buckeyes. Sweater Vest has been corrupt at every school he has coached.
I hope Pryor blows out his knee and ends up like our good friend Maurice....hahahahahaa.

ahhh, but what if PJ were the halftime show?
When the Pats won in 2001, I got to admit, having U2 as the halftime show was pretty fucking fantastic ... indeed, it was a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!!"You're one of the few Red Sox fans I don't mind." - Newch91

DEFINITELY PJ. The Super Bowl just isn't one of those sports events I would like to attend. I'd prefer to watch it on TV. I'd sell SB tickets.0
-
Concert...but that's me. Besides, when your at the game, you miss the commercials which is half of the show."If you want a friend, feed any animal." - JA
"Don't let it get you down, you know, still give your love, just give it away...I love singin' that part." - EV0 -
Live music always trumps sports in my book.
But that's just me.E agora? Faz xixi na mão e deita fora!0 -
If I was guaranteed a front row seat/position, I would take the concert.
Why? The Super Bowl is one time I feel like would be best enjoyed with a group of friends and watching on TV.
I'm a die hard Packer fan...my family has had season tix since the 50's and I go out for one game a year from NY...although this year I'm coming all the way from Istanbul to catch the opener against the Bears and then hopefully the two shows in Seattle. I'm also making it to the London show in August...I'm going to be quite spoiled this summer/fall.
Football in a dome just isn't real football...a game at Lambeau, Arrowhead, or Soldier...err I mean Bank One (sellouts
) would be far more enjoyable IMO...a championship game for your team at home would be a stronger bet for me than a neutral site with controlled conditions.
Also, like others have said, you never lose with Pearl Jam...having your team drop the Superbowl would be crushing.
The fact that Pearl Jam has never had a concert on Super Bowl Sunday in the US makes this a moot point...they will obviously be watching the game or at least realize it would be stupid to have a show on the same night.
But, if you want to dream the scenario that would never happen and both things were given to me for free (transport/hotel/tickets)...and both happened on the same night, I would take the Super Bowl tickets for sure...simply because its much more expensive and having your own team in the Super Bowl might never happen again in your lifetime. It would have to be 50 yard line...about 10 rows back though

As an Eagles pan, I have to go superbowl. I have a weird view of this. I feel that the show is only as large as the people in front of you. So if I'm in the 10th row and 500 people are in front of me, its a 500 person show. If I'm on the rail, its a 2-3 seat show. I know its an odd theory, but having been to 200-300 concerts in my life, this is my conclusion: front row at a huge stadium show is better than the back of a 500 seat club. GO EAGLES!
Let the ocean swell, dissolve 'way my past0 -
This is a tough one. I'm a huge New England Patriot fan. Born and bread in Massachusetts. It would depend I guess. If I could have a seat in the first 5 rows for Pearl Jam then I'd take the concert otherwise I'd see my boys in the Superbowl!!8/29/00, 7/3/03, 5/24/06,6/28/08 & 6/30/08, 10/9/09,10/28/09, 10/30/09 & 10/31/09, 5/15/10, 5/17/10, 5/18/10, 5/20/10 & 5/21/10, 10/23/10 & 10/24/10, 9/3/11, 9/4/11, 9/11/11, 9/12/11, 9/23/11, 9/22/12, 9/30/12, 7/16/13, 7/19/130

Wow.. you would DVR your team if they were in the Superbowl. Don't call them your Bears lol.
you're judging my fandom now? I guess that means that based on your answer, you're not a PJ fan.Found: Soundgarden Hyde Park DVD (Thank you for the gift!)
