You were the first! I was going to get that plate, but the problem is I live in So Cal. That probably is not working out so well for that guy! That plate was available about 6 months ago.

So......are we just gonna ignore the beatdown the Dodgers put on the Giants recently in SF? How about the fact that it took a herculean effort from the reigning cy young winner and a walk off home run for the Giants just to salvage one game from the first place Dodgers? OK, we'll ignore, lets get back to those silly license plates.

I won't ignore it. Dodgers are a better team right now. On most nights, the G-men couldn't hit their way out of a paper bag. I, for one, miss the hell out of Barry Bonds :shock: . That being said, us Giants fans like this team (kinda) and are hoping there is light at the end of the tunnel.

It didn't help that the umpires blew a total of 5 calls that series. That's right, 5. All against the Giants. Don't look now, but we're only 5 1/2 back of the dodgers. It was a ten game deficit 3 weeks ago. Enjoy getting swept by Arizona tomorrow!

Saw the Giants in person tonight against the Mets. I like their pitching though you can't tell much from the lineup fielded by the Mets.

Yet all those guys were stars or stars-in-waiting at some point in their careers....and whoever pitched the first game of the series was some emergency fill-in, making his second career start, and he shut the G-men out. Barry, come back!!

We also choked away a 6-1 lead. That should not happen.

As far as Nevada...it was 110 degrees a couple of days ago.

Another heart breaking loss for the Giants. That was u-g-l-y.

Score 3 in the top of the 14th, only to lose on a walk of granny, to the Rockies no less.

ugh.

They're not my #1 team, but, I'll pull for the local team in the NL ... that one stung.

When you've been a fan as long as me, you get used to this kind of thing. Giants' fans, I hate to admit, have the same angst as the pre-2004 Red Sox fans.

Yeah, that fucking loss hurts. What to do now? I guess hope for a sweep of Arizona and a sweep of the Dodgers by the Rockies. That way, when the Rockies come to SF later this week, we sweep them and the Dodgers fall to third!!

I've lived here for 5 years now ... and the Giants fans have endured almost as much as the Red Sox fans ... that 2002 series was every bit as painful, if not MORESO than the '86 series was for the Red Sox.

Last time I can remember the Giants rising to the occasion was 1997....the Dodgers came to town in late September, tied with the G-men. Giants swpt the short series. Before and after that.....nothing but chokes.

Panda was a revelation. Let's hope his fatness doesn't hurt him.

Lincecum and Cain are studs, altho I think Cain kinda wore down at the end. Zito could have won 15 games with any kind of support. Wilson is OK, but not great, as a closer. Throw some fucking strikes!!!!

Most nights, the lineup couldn't hit it's way out of a paper bag. This team needs some pop, although I can't really see a savior on the horizon (it's not Renteria or Rowand). In the absence of a big bat, the G's did a shitty job of manufacturing runs :evil: . That, plus seven blown saves and bad play against the Dodgers did us in.

The 2009 Giants won five more regular season games than the 2006 World Champion Cardinals. :roll: :roll:
