Of course I have a sense of humor. See the Chris Farley Flack I've been taking. I get it. I was not trying to be offensive to you. If you're going to dish it (when you agree and/or make a comment) then - please be able to take it. I'm just handing it back is all. Do I truly feel this way about you ( of course not) although the Chris Farley comments are still being made about me. It's all good. And it remains very funny - even to me!
I will always be a Chris Farley fan! Much love to you. Seriously.
Good to know. :) Sometimes it's hard to tell through written words if a person is either upset or just sarcastic. I can take it! Us wiseguys should be able to take it if we can dish it out. And I honestly thought the Farley connection was just plain funny.

count me in. whenever an individual or institution is given power they fuck it up. every time. we need to find a system that accounts for power corrupting, and libertarian is a good place to start.

the problem is corporations are institutions with authority-companies like wallmart make more money than countries like Greece, and they don't sit on that power. they spread, like a goddamn virus.

so libertarian capitalism is out. if there is any doubts as to whether or not the free market is best for society, study US history in the 1900's. it failed. the workers rights we enjoy today were paid for in blood.

capitalism, where profit is more important than life or the environment. fuck all that.

i'm a libertarian socialist, small government, share the wealth, etc.

It is my personal belief that if you first limit the size of government and leave more money in the hands of the people, that the people WILL be more charitable to the causes of their choice.

I think this is where we disagree most...we tried that in America (not the perfect kind) since Reagan, and now rich people are richer than ever and they ain't helping shit.

people should not have to pay to live. fuck that system. we have the ability to take care of every person in this country, the resources are available. instead we drop a few trillion on expanding the empire in the middle east.

We have hundreds of billions for Haliburton. And Lockeed and Raytheon and Blackwater.

what a fucked up country this is, where people would rather see troops in afghanstan killing for an empire instead of universal health care.

i would rather my tax dollars went to saving lives, not taking them.

There's lots of counties that are already doing the "Socialist" thing. You should really consider moving to one of them. I extend my offer to help you pack.

Which is why if we left things totally up to the population with no gov't in charge (hence Libertarianism), nothing would get done, but the rich would certainly get richer, and the poor would definately get poorer.

As far as what Commy said above, I agree. There's no such thing as a truly Free Market anymore. And capitalism, in the end, when all the resources are gone in the world because we've used it all up in order to capitalize and globalize on, will implode on itself. We're using them all up as we speak. Money is not the end all, be all. Life is.
