very important question for KAT or SEA

It's pretty obvious some show dates are gonna be announced tomorrow.

My question: Will there be a grace period between announcement date and ticket sale date or will the tickets go on sale at the moment of announcement?

I know there are already some threads on this, but this needs answering ASAP.

this is the 3rd thread about this and we have yet to receive an answer. I dont understand why this is so difficult. why must everything be so secretive? we know shows are coming, just tell us if we need to waste the entire day refreshing or not.

for a band with values around conservation, this operation seems to be designed to waste people's time, thus wasting a valauble resource, human productivity. it's really unfortunate.

i know what people will say, "nobody is making you hit refresh all day," but I disagree. if the fan wants 10C tickets, he is left with no other option due to the lack of communication.

Well the thing is if they answer here then it gives you an advantage over people who aren't on the board or don't check that much, there fore why they wouldn't answer, it would be unfair to give us a leg up just because we are on the board.

Thats the way i see it anyways.

maybe they WANT to make it difficult for people coming from long distances to have plans ...

    1) saves on pollution
    2) gets more locals in the building instead of the freaks who go to every show

    just a thought.

Maybe they don't have every detail worked out yet, or maybe kat and sea who are moderators of the message board, not the band's management, haven't been told yet when on sales will happen.

    this is my thought.
also, i don't think it is up to kat or sea to *decide* what info to share or not to share.

as to the travel comments....it's not even just those who travel long distance, even those who don't...it is most considerate to have at least a day's notice to figure out your arrangements....even if it is simply taking off work, arranging child care, working out details of who will go to a show with you, splitting tix, etc.

i do have to agree somewhat with non-entities comments....it seems more and more we need to waste a lot of time here to get tidbits of info at a time, and wait for more, etc. idk how or why 10c choose this route, but it does get frustrating, and difficult, at times. as ever, they're gonna do wht they're gonna do......

well, an 'instant sale' puts a very unfair advantage to us very people as well.
the only 'leg up' we'd have with such info is to know we don't have to sit here all day tomorrow and refresh the goods section, etc. imo it would be GOOD information to pass on, and no advantage to anyone by doing so, just not wasting time.

This is not an unreasonable question to ask.

I doubt it, they are pretty in the know, the may just be mods here but they also work for 10c, when you call its usually one of them that answers the phone, I would say they know what is going on.

Completely agree. Why can't we get accurate and up front information concerning this?? What is the deal?!

It's in the mods' best interests to keep us informed - so they can keep us quiet, and make their jobs easier. My guess is that these announcements are up to the band to decide.

I'm so tired of seeing excuses made for the 10c's actions. No one knows what's really going on, EXCEPT that the communication is at an all-time low concerning what is going on other than "something" happening tomorrow. We deserve better!

Then put a radius limit. Only email zip codes within certain states to purchase. Or, make every member allowed to go to only 1 show. That's how they kept things in check in the late 90's.

    not really.
think about it...a radius limit for MSG in comparison to a radius for a place like tampa......? no comparison. i highly doubt it would 'help' us tristaters too much, and would only hurt if one wants to go to a show in a not too populous area. and it definitely is unfair to put in place radius limits for one area and not another. all bets are off for small/special shows, but for regular, big shows....just not fair. some people get NO shows anywhere near them, or very rarely...so again, any kinds of geographic limits, imo, is unfair. just my 2 cents.
