Patrick. I should have sent the cd's i was going to donate to you. I got stuck in LA until 5, and didn't get to SD until 8, and got into the venue at 8.25pm.
I feel horrible, i had the cd's w/me, and couldn't get them to you in time for the fundraiser. I still have them if you can use them, and would be more than happy to mail them to you.
I tried calling the number you left, but it made fax machine noises both times.
Really sorry man, i wanted you to have them to help the fundraiser.

Thanks to really REALLY bad luck, I only got to walk in for a second. As I pulled into a nearby parking lot, I remembered that my driver's window stopped working a couple of weeks ago (just a few months after I paid to get it fixed). I made the mistake of pressing the button down, which it did and it actually went halfway down and STOPPED. It was too late in the day to take it to a mechanic, which meant I'd have to get it somewhere and do the high-class towel over the window thing I've seen so many times. DAMNIT! Oh well. I parked across from the Local for a second, just long enough to run in and give Patrick flyers for our afterparty and the worst raffle donations ever: a cassette copy of an audience boot from the final '92 Lolla show where TOTDog played and the LA Weekly full-page ad for the 9/11/92 Lolla show (trimmed and folded years ago). I figured SOME PJ fan could appreciate it more than me.
Dunno if the flyers got 'round but we didn't have a single person come over after the show. Oh well. Hopefully me sending stuff out about the pre-parties to local press friends helped get a few bodies in the door. Seemed very cool. Inspring to see how you guys rallied for the cause. Wish I could've stayed. Hope everyone had a good time at the parties and shows!
Just got back to Denver and wow I'm dead tired. Left SD around 2am and just got back. Made great time except being stuck in the mountains for the last three hrs during a snow storm. I have no idea how we didn't get hit or slid into somebody. It looked like a war zone. Cars stuck everywhere and accidents all over the place.
I'm still taking in everything that happened in San Diego. SD nite one was my favorite of the three shows I saw. Ed's story telling made me laugh so hard and him trying his Barry White song was great. Kinda the same setlists each nite but still amazing shows.
Thank you to everybody that showed up last nite and tonight. I wish I could have been there for tonight's party. :( I'm sure it also was a success. Also thank you to everyone at the Local. What an AWESOME surf bar with great drinks and eats. Thank you to the radio station 94.9 for plugging the parties and being there to help out.
And of course thank you to everybody that donated items for the raffle. I have more to say but I'm just too tired right now. lol

I so wanted to be there for nite 2 SD party. More then the show actually. I really had a fun time at the party. Talking to old friends and new ones I enjoyed it all so much. It was so tough to leave after the show. But all good things must come to an end. There's always June anyways.
