For all you speculating... the three shows they played at Bill Graham last tour were GA, the place holds just under 9gs...

and for the record, large place like that i prefer seats, because i am not standing in line with 5000 fucking manaics that would sit in a line for 20 hours to be 3 inches closer to the stage... i asked security at the vic what time the fiorst guy arrived and he said 5am... that to me is insane, and i dont feel like battling those fucking people to get a decent seat, i prefer drinking in the parking lot

I totally agree with this...I'll see you there.

if i am not in the first 15 rows on the floor i prefer wing seats anyway

A few thousand shy of a big-market venues? You realize you have created a range that is probably closer to the venue size itself? You english is nonsensical. So, again anyone that actually knows, how big is the spectrum? 5gs? 7gs? 10gs? 27gs?(since someone wants to subtract a few thousand from major venues and call it good).

    Huh?

I've read the Spectrum holds 19K.

Many big-market arenas, including Philly's Wachovia Center and the one in Chicago, hold closer to 21K.

17-18,000 which is a about a couple (means 2) of thousand less than most major indoor hockey/basketball venues. got it now?

idk. how many can fit on the spectrum floor? i've never seen a show there, so no idea. theoretcially, could 10c get ALL of the floor? then it indeed would make a difference. also, for most euro shows, 10c tix got you 15 minute early entry....thus a LOt easier to get the rail if you desire, so again...it made a difference.

It's the best way to see Pearl Jam. Ed told me the SF shows were some of his favorite from the last tour. Dont be scared. Pearl Jam in GA is like a tiger in his natural habitat. But if this place holds 19gs like people are saying... I dont see it being GA

I'm guessing maybe 2,000 or so on the floor. Concert Capacity is about 19,000 for basketball it's about 18,000. I figure about a 1,000 to 1,500 seats are covered by the stage setup so to make for a capacity of 19,000 the rest have to be on the floor.

If this place holds 19gs... I dont see them playing three nights there. Maybe two. Remember when bands book dates, they try to hold as many around the dates that they are planning on playing. This three date rumor has been perpetuated by over zealous fans passing on info they probably shouldn't be in the first place. PJ probably has planned one, maybe two dates, and has reserved the days around those for any variables. I don't see them having the demand to play a place close to 20gs three nights in a row.

If it's the only NE show, they could sell out three nights easily. Considering they would be one of the last events at the venue.

ok then, so most definitely...theoretically, 10c COULD get the full floor allotment, and again...to me...that can make a big difference between scoring 10c tix and not socring 10c tix.

as to my personal preference, it really is hard to say. i LOVE being on the rail, and i really can enjoy GA. however, i also like to preparty. :) one really can't do both. you either queue all day to get a spot on the rail, or close to it....or you preparty. also, if 10c gets ALL the floor...those younger/faster members may beat me to the rail, so i may waste the whole day queuing really for no reason. granted, i've had good times on 10c queues, but even so...i rather be in some bar getting some drinks and hanging with friends, comfortably.

so beerbaron, yet another reason i wat time to make my decision if you throw in the option of GA or seated, i need to think about it!

10 club had the entire floor in 2003, but that was before the TM rules came into place and also before they started using the wings for most shows.

Then again the venue is non TM so who knows how fan club tix will work.

not for me its not i will take my reserved seats thank you very much
ive seen both and truthfully, except for 96, the best shows Ive seen have been reserved, so the PJ prefers GA theory holds no water
and its not that im scared its that people are assholes
    especially in philly! :!: :!: ;)
and the size of the place doesnt matter, and I think comcast likes GA shows so they can sell a few more tickets

the dead was GA on the floor last May

    well sure.
2003 was a whole other animal.
\however, with a 21k capacity, 2k still fits well within the 10% limits....and beyond that, as you say......it's not a TM venue, and i've also heard rumors that the whole 10% thing is false in any case, so who the hell knows? point is, this Is important info imo and adds more to the decision...especially as someone with a crap 10c #. i had the rail for every pj show i saw in europe. i worked hard to get it, but it was worth it. however....i've now seen a good # of shows from that perspective, and tho it's still soooo tempting b/c it Is such a great/fun experience...i just dk if i am willing to invest the time/energy, most especially if i have to fight for it with 1999 other 10clubbers! in italy, there were 300 10c tix per venue, i think? pretty much ALL got the rail, easily.....just a question of where! :P also, i think NE pj fans are more brutal in GA.

I'm all for GA. Gives everyone with a lackluster Ten Club number a chance to get up front. Those with great numbers who will no doubt bitch about not having their folding chair in the first 2 rows will have the option of seats in the wings right next to the stage.

I'm all for GA too, for your reason. However, I'm 5 ft. tall, and seeing how short I am...GA just doesn't work form me, if the big guys won't let me squeeze through to a good spot near the front. Doesn't usually happen, and boy, do I TRY.

That's what the wings are for :) I don't think you could see that much better if it were folding chairs.

    A. You're wrong.

    C. You're wrong.

It's not over-zealousness. It's actually legit. Initially they WERE holding extra nights. 5 total, to be exact. It's because they were working out the details, and the final word is 3 nights. Believe it if you want to. Don't if you don't. But I assure you I will be there for 3 shows in the month of October, and PJ will be there with me.

And since when don't they have that demand? Were you aware of Boston? Philly has the same sized fan base, if not larger.

You really get off on being the naysayer, don't you? That whole negative bullshit you're pulling around here is just so unnecessary. You should really find a hobby that doesn't involve pissing on others. Just sayin'.
