If PJ is playing the Spectrum....(which I will be there for)...then it is only natural to assume that MSG is happening :D

Discuss, argue, agree, discuss that MSG will be better ;) , etc

i would be thrilled to pieces if they played MSG .. however, there would definitely be some rumors flying around. IT'S MSG! i mean, MAYBE ... MAYBEEE we may see another shocker east coast date in the list around the time of Philly (doubt it though). But something like MSG, we'd have heard.

it won't happen but I wish there was at least another date coming for the north-east as NY folk are going to grab a lot of the 10c tickets before us South Jersey/Philly locals even get a chance. 3 shows gives more people a chance but maybe they could play 4 shows to give everyone in the area a better chance.

Philly is going to be flooded not only with NY/NJ fans but also with the fans from Massachusetts & Connecticut and the rest of New England.

I'm thinking Philly is going to be the only northeast shows this year.

if it is the only eastern city getting shows there should be a 10c row lottery like the 2008 tour so more people get a chance. I even think the lottery would be a good idea if there are only 3 shows in the North-East this year. So many 10c member it's ridiculous.

I agree with you 100%. They should bring back the lottery for this tour.

I doubt they put the lottery in just for Philly when Chicago and Toronto are being distributed by seniority.

And the ticket situation won't be as bad as 2005 when the Wachovia was a one off only standard show in the US - I'm not counting opening for the Stones, the HOB show in Chicago or the Borgatas as standard shows. At least this time there will be other shows in the US and there will be more than one date.

Don't overuse your contact. Doesn't seem likely that they'll play MSG again this year. And if they do, well, it will just be a surprise.

I don't see it happening. I am pretty sure that Philly is going to be the only place they place in the North East. At least it will be the only city with shows announced this week....

    as a NYer, i AGREE!
there will always be those who will hit up as many shows as possible, so would still do both philly and NY....but damn, if we got 2 nights in NY i would happily forego philly in favor of hometown shows. definitely easier on my vacation balance and most especially the wallet.

that said, i don't forsee it. i think this is a one-off (or 3-off) to say good-bye to the spectrum. they WILL return to NY, and i am sure philly, when they do the full world tour to promote the album. i'd imagine they'll be back in the NE say the spring or summer 2010.

I dont see them playing MSG as they tend to skip MSG every other tour or so, but a gig in the NY NJ area is not out of the question, same with boston. think izod or holmdel

Im anxious to see the timing of the Aus tour, if its towards the end of November, then I think there will be more US dates

but I would guess that there will be west coast shows before they leave for Aus

    hahaha.
while i agree it would be damn nice that IF they are going to play any other NE dates it would make total sense and would be GREAT if all were announced simultaneously....i hate when one city cries about another 'taking their tix'. :? the day that a NYC area show is filled with NYers and ONLY NYers...then get back to me and cry. as it is right now, pretty much most fans, especially those who frequent this board, hit up MULTIPLE shows/cities in the NE in particular. many NYers, NJ, CT, MA, PA, etc give it all a shot. i do believe a very good # of PA and MA folks, for example, were present at the MSG shows last summer....along with a whole host of other people from around the country and around the world. 8-) cool with me. i too like to travel for shows. so yea zoso...sorry...no sympathy here....and i also do not know why you single out just us NYers. good # of jersey folk (don't YOU live in jersey now? ;) CT....probably MA....DC.....etc....all will give it a shot.

The dead pkayed msg for bout almost 25+years straight every summer. Why can't pj play here every year. I can see another 2 nighter happen. I don't have any sources or anything, its just a gut feeling.

people are forgetting that MSG is being renovated this summer and it will be "bigger and better" (although the current MSG is beast), meaning a better sound system?

I'm saying "assuming" there might be an MSG show, but besides MSG a NY show is very very very possible.
