How goes it work when tickets for a show are only mobile and you have to surrender your phone? What keeps someone from squatting in your spot?

They give you a ticket with your seat info on it, or write your info on a little card. They printed these right at door for Masonic Temple shows. Real simple, no worries.

PS Every band needs to do the phoneless shows. It makes the whole experience so much better.
Been doing that since the last time I saw Jack in 2018, back to the way concerts are meant to be experienced.
Yup. Raconteurs were my last show before the pandemic in Toronto and the vibe in the crowd was just different. Everyone is so engaged in the show without the phone to distract them.
I was at that show too, amazing energy and performance, and the smaller venue was fantastic!
Ya that was a raucous crowd for that show. We were higher up but it still felt like we were right on top of the stage.
I really wish the Racs toured more full time. They just may be my favorite Jack project

So happy I chose to hit the show in Detroit Saturday night. My trip across the border from Windsor was quick and easy. Jack and the band were absolutely on fire and the setlist was a masterpiece. So many highlights but I cant believe I finally got to hear Same Boy You've Always Known live!

If Jack is coming to an area that you can walk, bike, drive, boat or fly to then make it to the show because you will not be disappointed!

I agree, Saturday was unreal. So much fun. But Friday was a letdown.  Very standard hit friendly setlist.

I'd think twice about going to another show.  I'd probably watch the setlists.  Not sure Friday was worth $150 a ticket. I think Toronto is actually more than that per ticket.

Even if the energy isn't there I wish on N1 he would have played a few more rate cuts...and maybe a few more songs.

Saturday did make it for it however

Still 4 months away but his show here in Portland is not selling well at all. Have to wonder if he'll get moved to a smaller venue at some point.

I don't think Boston is even half sold, and I happen to know that two of those sold tickets probably aren't going to be used.

I really dig the new album, though.

Maybe I'll travel up to Portland in four months. Be nice if he moved it to Thompson's Point.

Digging this.  I expected it to be a sleeper vault.

One thing about the Vault releases that I've noticed.  I think Jack has them mixed at a lower level than we're used to getting.  So they really benefit from increasing the gain.  I know many phono stages don't do that,  but if yours does, I suggest playing some of his records with increased gain.  It really has improved the sound of his vaults like the Raconteur live and that Masonic show. I went up 3 db

Jack was in a great mood and he sounded great. He’s only as good as his drummer which makes him fabulous. Could have used a few more songs from the new record but it was a great show.

for those that purchase digital music, Jack (or his team) is trying to get Fear The Dawn to chart higher, so they've lowered the price to $6.99.
Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall
