however the question as been asked about 54 times..... who is opening

I would say at this point it might be MJ since it is a question with no answer

Get over it already. Yeah, he was truly a talented musician, but on the other gloved hand he was a child molester.

It would be awesome as hell if Ed opened the show up or if they did a bunch of acoustic songs ala Mansfield 3 2003... wishful thinking.

If it is Ben Harper & R7, I'm happy they're taking their time to announce it. Had they announced it simultaneously, we'd definitely be seeing a pretty significant amount of the venue filled with BH fans, rather than PJ fans. This is the way it should be - a bunch of rabid PJ fans at a show, excited to see a cool opening band.

    Alice in Chains

I've been thinking this for a while, but they are playing a festival in Pomona, CA on 8/22, so it is unlikely that they would fly to Chicago to play for a 2nd and 3rd night in a row.

they did just announce a club tour though.

  • Here's a thought.. they could start some contest within the 10c... there are a lot of musicians on this board, right? So, a 10c member and his/her band submit a demo. For each stop on the tour, the selected 10c winner gets to bring his/her band on stage as the opening act. They could select a 10c winner closest to each big city they tour. Of course, if there aren't any good bands in the 10c for that city... they could bring in the local high school choir ;)
  • State Radio would be fun as an opener. For those that like a band with energy and one that supports a lot of causes.. this is it. Congrats to Boston being home to a great group of guys!
