    my first 3 day weekend in some time.
    ( union holiday is friday )

    Lots of sleeping and beaching are definitely going to be involved.

    fireworks over manhattan from across the bay and off of my balcony.

    FOUR day weekend! 8-)
    i took monday off to extend the holiday & b/c hubby is always off mondays nowadays.
    relax, relax, relaxxx....
    probably just chill at home friday, bbq/party at friend's house near the beach saturday, probably bbq at home sunday, hitting up a matineee of public enemies on monday...LOs of good food and drink every day. :mrgreen:

    July 3rd tradition at the beach down the street is a mile of bonfires and fireworks, so we'll be there (assuming it actually stops f'in raining) Friday night.
    Saturday will be a cookout at the wife's sister's house.
    This weekend we rock Portland

    July 3rd, I'm taking my wife to Green Day at Key Arena!
    July 4th, I'm volunteering at the Seattle Int'l Beer Fest!
    July 5th, I'm sitting on my ass. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate and it'll be at the lake or river.

    Going to the inlaws in Massachusetts... not thrilled about that, but we are going to the red sox game on Sunday. I'm not a huge sox fan, but have never been to Fenway, so I am excited about that.

    they played MSG, but hubby didn't want to spend the cash....and then he got the live CD, and it is stellar. clapton and winwood together again....fantastic!

    Friday 3rd: Resting for the Peachtree Road Race, eating loads of carbs and soaking down water. No beer for me.
    Saturday 4th: Running the Peachtree Road Race, then enjoying the evening with friends and family.
    Sunday 5th: Recovery from all of the above.

    heading to the lake outside of town w/ my wife & some of our friends to ride some waverunners, bbq, play some volleyball & drink some beers.

    i'm more excited about the following weekend, though. we've rented a condo right on the beach in Galveston for 4 nights for our 1 yr anniversary!! 8-)

    Gonna go bet on the ponies on Friday night July 3rd at Emerald Downs. Then on Saturday the 4th we are heading the Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA for some school bus figure eight races and whatnot.
