    what about people like me, who smoke pot AND drink?

    I was never a big drinker, but some years back I became straight edge. I like staying skinny (harder to do with alcohol), and keeping my wits about me. I don't need substances to enjoy my life. Plus, it saves money that I can use for other things.

    My self imposed alcohol ban did not last long. Dad retired on Friday and I had a few drinks with him, then went out last night and I did get drunk BUT..... Nothing bad to report. I even saved some old lady from getting crushed (True Story) But that is for another time my friends...

    it was the vodka! i had quite a few blackouts due to vodka drinking, so i don't really touch it anymore, just too easy to drink and you don't know how drunk you are will you wake up the next morning and remember nothing :lol:

    Anyone got any good drink recipes using dark rum?

    I bot a bottle yesterday. Needed a little for my strawberry-rhubarb pie, now I have a ton left. I'm not a big rum fan either...

    This is your secret!!!!!!!! Ok...I now know why I keep gaining! I do everything else right....but still LOVE my wine on the weekends! I hate the thought of giving it up....enjoy it with good food!

    just had a night out last night...

    a friend and i split a pint of southern comfort then went to this restaurant/bar and sat upstairs on an outside patio area. our server we happened to know (he went to school with my older brother and my friend actually worked with him at another restaurant) ...he gave us the first round free.

    had quite a few beers there and then went to another bar to finish out the night....in the parking lot smoked half of a j then went in for a few tallboys of beer. sat outside around the fire. my friend remarked, "look at the golden goodness" (referring to the beer) we both thought that was pretty funny in our drunken state. he somehow broke his glass and the manager came out to clean it up haha we were talking to him for awhile. smoked the rest of the j and either went back in for another beer haha. crazy times. good times.
