Hi. I will update the first post of this thread throughout the day(s) to show the current 1st and 2nd place bid so others know where the numbers are. We thought sending PMs and updating would be a better course of action. I will do my best to update a few times a day.

Hi. Actually we looked into that option; however you have to be a registered non-profit to host a charity auction on ebay. We also thought we'd get good interest here and the bag could go to someone who has really been looking for it and may also be familiar with Clayton Liggett.

This might be a strange question, but how big of a laptop can fit in there?
I got a 17" macbook and have been looking for one of those.

This is a cool auction to do. Good for you guys!

Hi. I think the largest laptop that would fit is a 15"- but it also depends on the width. An 15" Apple Powerbook fit, but a 15" Mac Book Pro was a bit too wide. Sorry :(

That's awesome of your friend and I love the pick of a PJ-related charity - and I support performance & art as a way of life!

Big kudos to your friend! I'm sorry about the problem on ebay - I hope you get the most of it!

My suggestion is to add an email for those who are not members of 10c and might be browsing through here but unable to PM.

I have that laptop bag also - my son has been using it as a backpack for his school.

I took it with me to Nashville to carry my laptop - but it does not fit all of it, I have a 17" widescreen notebook.

It's a great bag to have - either as a backpack or carrying a laptop!

    You're welcome, embrace. :)

I have another idea if you haven't already thought of this - post this on RM and other PJ related boards with a link directly to the official PJ board, but if they are unable to access, the email address is provided here for them to bid.

I don't visit other boards so I don't know what they are other than RM (theskyiscrape.com which I'm sure you are already familiar with). I also have heard about BRY.

Good luck and I hope you get a lot more - that is really an important charity to make a difference for those who have passions in art & performance!

Sorry I'm back again but I thought of some more when I was cleaning the garage. ;)

    Facebook and twitter?

That'll get out to more people who don't normally visit boards through friends of friends... :)

You wouldn't have to respond to any of them, but only through here and email - if they want to see updates, they can come here.

Ok... that's about it.... back to work...

  • About the laptop question -- indeed the new 15" MacBook Pro is just slightly wide for the built-in laptop sleeve, but it does still fit in the bag.

The PJ bag is nicely padded so the computer would be well protected, especially if you had a couple books/jacket/etc. in with the laptop to hold it in place. Or for even more protection you could put the laptop in a neoprene or other small sleeve first, and then put it in the PJ bag.

    Hope that helps :)
