and no, I'm sure some people don't realize that it's not like a regular PJ show. They may not follow the band as closely as some of us and just assume if they see Ed's name, it's a rock show and not an acoustic sit down type of atmosphere
sounds like lukinfan had a great time!

Dance all you want, but keep your damn mouth shut!
It said "Life is nothing but a dream."
I've spent so many years in question
To find I'd known this all along.
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”
If I went to one of the shows, I woulda stood.
Some chick kept shouting Smile at my show.
I wanted to stand and dance last summer in Chicago, but it was Ed who instructed us to sit down and get comfortable. I'm guessing that is what he prefers for these performances. Maybe Eddie thinks sitters are less likely to shout at annoying times than those who stand...
Foxy Mop in my tree, no way.

Come back amongst the waves yellow moon.

each village can sometimes have more than 1 idiot
i know this for a fact, cause it's not ALWAYS me, i swear!
yeah, hecklers at rock shows...worse than people who stand up or er ummmm way waaay worse than people who smoke and drink
it's too bad ya'll never got to see me on this tour
Ed decided ITW was not full of dance songs when he wrote them
i'd love to see a video of you dancing to Guaranteed
I'd actually make a donation to the Wishlist Foundation to see a pic of you dancing to this song
this is eddie vedder... not phish
with the right mind set, and um perhaps the perfect amount chemicals/drugs/beer one can dance to almost anything...
i saw hot chicks paired up dancing slow, to fast hard rock led zepplin songs, back in the 80's
weird is everywhere and that's a good thing. IMO
Obviously the context of these songs are lost on you. :?
Dancing to "Into the Wild" is like making out to "Betterman".

"I don't believe in damn curses. Wake up the damn Bambino and have me face him. Maybe I'll drill him in the ass." --- Pedro Martinez
When it's an acoustic show and many of the songs are quiet, it's a great feeling to sit there and take it all in, absorbing the words and music.
If you're at a regular PJ show, THAT is when you stand up, dance, and get nuts. It's just common sense though to sit and be respectful at an acoustic concert, then standing up for ovations and appropriate cheering or waiting for the encore, etc.
The most important thing is respect for Eddie, and obviously he appreciates us fans who act like we have a brain and some restraint.
Edit: sorry, forgot to add that heckling shouldn't even exist.
I can't wait for tonight and hope everyone has a good time.
people in the room and they're all sitting quietly, enjoying the show, that should
be a big fat clue.
I was at a Lyle Lovett show a while back at a hall where you could hear a pin drop.
I, of course, was seated next to a drunk chick who "shout whispered" to her boyfriend
for the first hour of the show. After several people around us asked her to please be
quiet they finally had her tossed by the ushers.
I kept my mouth shut, but man was I happy when she hit the streets.
Drunk and stupid is no excuse.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me...
I agree!!! I love to stand & dance but not cool if everyone else is seated. & it's just common courtesy to shut the fuck up when someone is talking-I woulda liked to have actually heard more of the storytelling & arc instead of the drunks behind me shouting about how awesome arc is-I guess I'll never really know!? I'm all about havin' fun & NOT telling others what to do but what it really comes down to is just having basic consideration for those around you

At least people stood up during Porch in Albany, that bugged the hell out of me at the first NY show last year, I got yelled at for getting up during the last and hardest song of the first set.
The only yelling that made sense last night was when the one guy yelled 'Play what you want!!'
I really loved it when this guy and chick behind us kept yelling 'Yelloooowww Ledbetterrrrr' over and over and over. Jeez

Someone at Baltimore 1 yelled for "BUGS!". Just once though.
I totally forgot, but heard that as well! somewhere near the front! Funny. Good that he only did it once.
At Albany 2 some guy kept yelling out "DROP THE LEASH" throughout the entire show. I really wanted to yell out "Hes not gonna drop the fuckin leash!"
