Seriously... no one? I can't remember the exact order.

Walking the Cow opened. Then Trouble, dedicated to his best friend, a good friend for anyone Jeff Ament.
Then played some PJ (Elderly Woman, I am Mine...) then some solo soundtrack.

Mentioned Nashville Lily while dedicating Forever Young. Arc as surreal. Mentioned the significance of the date 6/23 before playing Picture in a Frame (wedding?). Mentioned West Memphis 3. Called Brendan O'Brien a bastard for no coming but his kids were there. Some girl screamed for Dirty Frank... says it says a lot about a woman that requests that. Overall the crowd was pretty good... generally respectful and quiet at the correct times. Heard requests after the first song and said "who does that... shut the f' up." Mentioned recording in Atlanta and being done with Backspacer. Said its like buying an Xmas gift 3 months early and having to wait because you know the person will really like it. Said he wished he could play us a few songs and got a 3-4minute standing ovation. Closed with Hard Sun. Did Arc, Golden State, Porch, Lukin...

Security were hardcore on the cellphones at the start. Saw several camera flashes during the show.
    Many people left after Arc.

Played, in no particular order: Walking the Cow, Trouble, Brain Damage/Sometimes, Elderly Woman, I am Mine, Dead Man, Patriot, Picture in a Frame, Believe You Me(partial)/Wishlist, Hide Your Love, Let My Love Open the Door, Forever Young, Growing Up, Lukin, Porch, Rise Up, Guaranteed, Society, Throw Your Arms Around Me, Arc, Soon Forget, Hard Sun...

    I'm missing some....

Just got home. What a show, what a time. Liam Finn was amazing (never heard any of his stuff, much better than most PJ openers including MMJ.) The stand-outs for me were the 3 minute standing O when Eddie said they were done with the new album. (It just created a great vibe for the rest of the show) Afterwards he made the comment "Well that's 2000 sold, or maybe 10 sold with 10 people making 200 copies each..." and ARC. I couldn't believe it. That was one of the most amazing things I've ever heard live. INCREDIBLE! I thought the crowd was great. It was hard sitting down for most of the show but it made the standing parts that much better (Lukin, Porch, Hard Sun)

Eddie greeted about 40 of us by the bus. Let me tell you that story. After waiting about 30 minutes, a guy comes over to us and tells us that Eddie usually doesn't come out until about 3am. He wanted to make sure we knew that early on. He was Eddie's bus driver. At about midnight another guy comes out and says Eddie is not going to greet us, he's getting right on the bus and heading out and we were wasting our time. He said I can't make you leave but you're waiting for nothing. He was Jesse, Eddie's security guard. (after that about 10 people left) At about 12:45 the bus driver comes back out and tells us that he feels sorry for us because we're sitting there for no reason. Immediately after he goes back in, Jesse comes back out and tells us all to stand up and form a single line against the wall. WE DID WHAT THE MAN SAID! He then stated that Eddie was going to come out and say hello but we were not to ask for pictures or autographs. Eddie then came out and shook everyone's hand, including my wife and I...great moment for us. Fucking incredible evening. It's obvious that they try to dwindle the crowd down for Eddie but if people are there, he's going to say hello. The lesson here.....if you intend to wait, don't believe Jesse or the bus driver, and don't leave... :D

So much more running through the brain, but I'm done for now.

    That's it...

Yes, both posters tonight. Also I think they ran out of the pinbacks/badges with the target/23 and the black and blue Eddie symbol because I got the Vedder 2008 and another one... not the same as the merch pictures I've been seeing. The jackets were only available in S and M. They only gave the playbill to people on the 1st level.

Ed did mention the band has a lot of ties in Atlanta. He also said "so lets start the healing" before he played a song (can't remember which one). Said it was great to see everyone come out since they hadn't been here in so long and said he'd have to report back to the band the positive feedback.

I've never seen a show like this. I came in thinking "is it worth the money?" and left thinking it was worth every penny. I want to see him top this...

Here's what I thinks in store for night 2: some version of Betterman, a new song, story time, and Longroad with Michael Stipe.

My first show at the cobb energy center and i thought it was really cool. I thought the acoustics sounded great and the set up was very nice. I hung out with springsteenfan from the board and it is always nice to meet new pj fans!

Ed sounded really good. I loved when he announced the new album was done and everyone literally stood up and cheered for ... well i'm not sure how long but it was quite a long time before he got the crowd to quiet down for him.

The first verse of Believe You Me into wishlist was VERY cool, but I was SOOOO impressed with how great ARC sounded.

He had just done Hide Your Love Away & Let My Love Open the Door wich were nice sing alongs and he set up Lukin perfectly. Saying "when you sing and play guitar with your family or friends around a camp fire you can tell when people have their singing voices ready they are good and warmed up and you need that song to keep them going. That nice sing along... "or something like that.... Then he blasts into lukin :D

He also mentioned how "rise up" is not about and erection but jokingly said if viagra offered them 3-4 million for it he might entertain it

Great night. Those going tonight i'm sure will have a special time too.

Really, because it sounds to me that he really didn't want to be bothered last night, but some people just wouldn't leave.

I've seen PJ many times but last night was the first time I saw EV solo, and it was everything I expected and more. I had 5th row center seats (THANKS 10 CLUB!!!!) and, from where I was sitting, the crowd was awesome (except for the one douche bag sitting right behind me who occasionally yelled out songs and random comments). It was so cool to turn around and see the upper balconies totally enjoying it -- you could tell that EV was also impressed.

I'm a long time Cat Stevens fan so Trouble was one of the song highlights for me, along with Porch, Throw Your Arms Around Me, Guaranteed, I am a Patriot, Society, Wishlist and, of course, Arc, but in truth every song was killer. I could listen to EV all night and I'm guessing he could be doing these solo shows into his 60s, if he so chooses, given the wealth of material he has.

My only regret is not getting 10 Club seats for tonight's show (I instead grabbed side balcony seats from ebay). My "wishlist" for tonight includes Long Road (would be awesome!), The End (still haven't heard it), another Cat Stevens song (Don't Be Shy?), and I'd love, love, love to hear Santa Cruz (what a great song) or, from the complete long shot category, "It's Okay" or "Save it for later."

Lastly, I thought it was funny when EV said before playing The Golden State something about how it was off the Christmas single which meant people didn't hear it until June.

Great, great show....and I can't wait for tonight.

P.S. I had on a KOL shirt and met a lot of people who, like me, said they went to see PJ and KOL in Columbia, SC last year. I'd love to see a PJ and KOL show here in the ATL sometime soon.
