HERE IS MY LETTER TO CBS


I support David Letterman 100 percent. I am putting my foot down for this right wing fear campaign to make letterman look like an evil person. THe hypocrisy is outrageous and the lies and whining they are spreading is more than a way to quite one voice...THIS IS the right wing machine in action, and it is how they operate to silence all opposition....PLEASE DONT SHOW ANYTHING TO THE OUTSIDE WORLD OTHER THAN FULL SUPPORT OF YOUR LATE NIGHT HOST.....100 percent support. They are animals....

Please tell your sponsors that there is a huge campaign to support Dave and that the fans of Pearl Jam and other groups I belong to are joining together to purposefully buy more products from CBS/LAte Night advertisers.... We wont stand for this anti-american ignorance. Dave not only has a right to talk about Palin and the daughters she injected into the political spotlight for own benefit, but he has a right to weather this lunacy and fight against it. We stand with him........again, 100 percent!

    No hostility,..... someone asked me to lower my class about 8 notches so we could hold what roughly equates to a conversation....this is the result....

    Not to try and be a dick or anything, but...

    See the forum you're in? See its name? See what it is supposed to be about? See why you shouldn't be posting this stuff here? See why the board was set up to have locations that are appropriate for you to post this sort of thing in?

    Now I'm fully sympathetic to the overall cause, but there's a right time and place for it and the discussion forum for Pearl Jam's music isn't it.

    my take on all this is, it's a rating's thing.

    how many year's, how many times, would a comic, on live tv, make fun of other celebrities?
    all the time, right? it make's the fan's laugh. not all the fans agree. but we all get a chuckle.

    everyone now is tuning in to letterman, to see what he would say on tv now cause of this palin jam.
    so people in the world can wait, watching, on their toes to see what letterman would say.
    don't tune in to conan, don't tune in to your local new's, watch letterman say something about palin.

    what will happen next? for the comics of the world?
    no more mono loges about making fun of the star's anymore?
    what it's been all about? for year's now? come on!
    i can't wait to see andrew dice clay this friday & saturday at the casino.
    he rip's everybody apart, and he's still standing.

    ps, remembered when pearl jam played on lettermen in '06? did many of you signed up for his newsletter? i did. but i haven't got much after a few months down the road. the past few day's now, out of the blue, i'm getting his newsletter? is his show falling from the light's of conan? that he has taken the late show? come on.

    I agree, Palin is crying 'victim' once again to get attention. I would think people would be so done with this from her by now, that they'd completely ignore her...which would inevitably paralyze her, if you think about it. It's all about the attention.

    All of these comedians make fun of Hilary Clinton all the time. I agree that he's no longer funny though.

    this is an absolute powerplay by Palin and her 'people'. Since the election, she has had visions of 2012 and cant gain anywhere near the attention she had (maybe because she is a nincompoop). this gets her in the news and brings her into people's consciousness, and will support people's perception of her as a strong, supportive mother.

    Letterman was a perfect target. He is in a ratings battle with Conan at a crucial time and he had no choice but to take the high road with his tail between his legs.


    And I dont believe this is a Right Wing/Republican thing... Its a Palin thing. She has her own people and I believe she is in a way campaigning to the Repubs to get the nomination in 2012. Most republicans I know just want her to go away from the National picture forever.
