someone else can post the damn setlist, but this was everything i had hoped for when living in baltimore. i got to to tailgate at home, have my wife drive down, not drink during the show, and get home 16 minutes after the last chord of hard sun was played. In between was a sick set of covers trouble, hide your love away, forever young, let my love open the door, etc., and songs that I haven't seen PJ play (over the course of 23 shows) sometimes, around the bend, parting ways, and arc. Not to mention Prince hit a granny on the drive home to win the game for the brew crew, what a fucking great day and a great concert.

Awesome show! Arc sounded amazing - so glad Eddie was able to pull it off tonight.

People continued to shout things out during the show, annoying to everyone. Someone yelled out "I want to party with you Eddie" Eddie turned to the crowd and said, "Did you hear that?" and then repeated what the guy had said and then said "What the fuck do you think we've been doing" Too funny. I'm sure the person felt like an ass after that. It seems it doesn't matter if Eddie is nice or nasty to the screamers, they still continue to yell.

  • Just walked in my door two words Fuckin Awesome. I hate to say it but way better than night 1. I say that in the nicest of ways however. Too much to tell right now but quick highlights...
Parting Ways (with some sweet ass guitar.)
    Wishlist.
Arc ( I guess he was feeling it tonight!)
A story about his daughter when she was 2
    Forever Young
Many more to follow, goodnight (like I really can sleep now)

And oh yeah ......it seemed there was more energy in the crowd tonight!

Great show- Thanks to all the idiots that decided to start yelling and clapping right in the middle of ARC. Other than that, Ed seemed to be in a good mood again.

The show was amazing, especially from the incredible seats I had. Thanks to the TC for doling out tickets randomly and giving people a chance to get a different perspective. Bring it back for the next tour!
  • WOW just WOW......this is the third time I have seen Ed solo and it was the best by far....I have been to Philly 1 this year and DC last year......I wish i could take the crowd from Philly 1 and put them at this show tonight...because that crowd def sang and participated more and seemed to be more into the songs than this Baltimore crowd....However, I think Eddie likes playing smaller venues like this better than larger theaters like the Tower (I saw Radiohead at the Tower a few years ago so it was probably too big for a solo Eddie show, it would be great for a Pearl Jam show)....

Eddie seemed really into this show...maybe that had to do with the special guests that were there...but he def had his rock moves going on towards the end of Hard Sun......getting me really excited for a Pearl Jam tour...hopefully the spectrum. Too many highlights to think of right now....somehow whenever this guy sings Forever Young it gets me...even though i have seen it at all the shows i have been too....Let My Love Open The Door was awesome.....i need time to absorb this show....AMAZING!!!!

Glad to see you tonight. It was another great show and I'm glad you got to see Ed solo. ed solo is really such a different experience.

Loved seeing the three songs I really wanted to hear tonight: You're True (always reminds me of that moment being blown away hearing it for the first time in Honolulu 06), Let My Love Open the Door (love Ed's version of it) and Parting Ways - heard it last year on Ed's solo tour and so glad I got to hear it one last time.

It was also cool that Chris McCandless's sister and her family were in the box right next to me and it was funny when Ed dropped the f bomb talking about how people are wearing less in the summer and then apologized to Corin and laughed.

Magic!!!!!! Amazing!!!!! This was one of my bestshows EVER! Had 3rd row seats...the most perfect view and the sound was unbelivable tonight. The crowd was much better then last night. People behaved much better and the vibe just flowed...

My love open the door was incredable! I really enjoyed Small town and porch...pretty good singing there! ARC gave me goose bumps and then I maganged to get into the very front of the stage for Big Hard Sun.

Got another hand shake and hello from ED tonight just to top off one of the best nights of my life!

There was much more but my mind is racing right now....2:41 AM....Sleep? :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Here's the set through the first encore, per my notes. Could be a title error or two, but everything is accounted for.

Setlist: Walking the Cow, (Brain Damage intro) -> Sometimes, (Sometimes Reprise with crowd singing), Trouble, Around The Bend, I Am Mine, Far Behind, No Ceiling, Guaranteed, Rise, Picture In A Frame, You're True, Springsteen (?) Cover, Driftin', You've Got To Hide You're Love Away, Let My Love Open The Door, Parting Ways, Small Town, Porch

Encore 1: Society (with Jerry Hannan), Throw Your Arms Around Me (with Liam Finn), Golden State (with Eliza), Forever Young, Wishlist, Arc

    Notes:
    - Parting Ways must not have originally been on the setlist - Before playing it he said he was "making a change" and it took the guitar tech an extra min to dig out the necessary guitar and get it setup.
    - The Domino Sugar building/sign was the inspiration for playing Society. Before Throw Your Arms Around Me Ed was about to dedicate the song to Liam's Great Great Relatives but Liam told Ed they had already left "So fuck 'em". Oh, and Forever Young was played for someone's birthday.
    - Not really a note, but "Let My Love Open The Door" was too obscure a song for someone in the audience, cause he shouted "Ed, play something we can sing with you!" Caught Ed off guard for a min, but he laughed and tried to point out LMLOTD fit that bill pretty well.

Awesome show. Too tired to write up a full review right now, but it was really great - even all the dumb "ED!" chants and radio-single song requests. Lyric Opera is a great venue, too.

So, I don't post here much but after the last two evenings seeing Eddie I have to get it out!!! First off, I've been a huge fan for years.... my first concert ever was PJ in 98 when I was 16. I've seen them 14-15 times and my wife and I saw Ed in DC last year. I've turned my wife into a great pj fan as well, we have a dog named Pearl and just last year we had our first kid, whom we named "Stone". So yea, I guess you could say we're big fans!

My wife and I got tickets through TM for both nights in Baltimore on the balcony. Sunday night we get to our seats in row Q and we were talking about how much different the experience must be for the people sitting up front. Just as we finished talking about how "lucky" those people must be... one of the concert promoters came up to us and said..."Hey guys, Eddie and I do this thing where we bump people from the back, up to the front row... Do you want the tickets?" I could barely even speak a word, luckily my wife blurted out "YES, PLEASE!" I've heard of the "upgrade" stuff before, but had never met anyone that actually had it done to them....

We had the experience of a lifetime from near dead center, front row.... I can't even describe the experience.... just totally amazing. We didn't think it would ever be topped!

    BUT IT GETS BETTER!!!

Monday, we get to the venue, get inside, chill out for a little bit.... and we see the promoter guy that got us the great seats. My wife and I decided to gratefully thank him for the tickets the night before. We shook his hand and thanked him for the upgrade seats... In turn he says "Oh, you're welcome, I'm glad you had fun..... would you like to do it again??" Again, I'm lost for words and my wife comes to the rescue with "Wow, we'd love to" So for a second time we get bumped from the balcony to the front row.

2 front row nights in our hometown. We're both totally ecstatic over the whole experience, and we really just wanted to say THANKS to everyone involved with the solo tour especially the guy who got us the great seats (I'm sorry I don't know your name, but thank you!)
He who forgets, will be destined to remember...

Yep, that was me. I was trying to get out of the parking lot before the crowd as I had a long drive ahead.

Yeah, we skipped out before the second encore. I knew it'd be Hard Sun cause of previous sets, but I didn't know if he played anything else with it. Glad that was all I missed.

Thanks for the Springsteen Cover name, too. I was trying to look it up

well, that was my first solo show and i thought it was a little weird. i wanted to jump through my skin when ed came out. but after a short applause he made everybody sit down. then he gets pissed when excited people yell shit between songs. then he gets all "why aren't you singing along?" when nobody is singing along. i really wanted to sing along, but it seemed like you were a dick if you made any noise. just a weird show. i didn't know what to do with myself. the set list was great, and i guess the show was good, but it just felt off. he played driftin' and parting ways double speed like he wanted to get out of there. and the chorus to his new song is "hey i'm from baltimore and i'm a fucking asshole"? how do you know that guy is from bmore? he's probably from dc or west virginia. funny story about his daughter and the bear from into the wild. i don't remember porch, but i do remember jeremy.

looking forward to the next pearl jam tour when i can scream my fucking head off and sing along with the best band ever...
  • The only thing I can say is that moving to the Northeast (DC) is paying off. Living in New Orleans, you just keep your fingers crossed in hopes that they come somewhere remotely close.

Went to both shows and they were both great. The second night was just unreal. He announced that Chris McCandless' sister was in the audience and that it was the first time she has been able to see him perform the soundtrack. He didn't disappoint in the least bit.

I got my Ed fix, now I need my McCready and the rest of the band fix. Looking forward to the fall.
How I choose to feel, is how I am.

Waking up with Vedder in my head...such a nice way to wake up! The show was simply superb...I'm still in awe of the raw and uninhibited talent of Vedder's voice and lyrics. Seen PJ all over the country, but this was my first time seeing him solo...a real treat for both my husband and I. Thank you Eddie for coming to Baltimore!
  • I was so hoping he'd play Throw Your Arms Around Me on the first night- as an Aussie and Mark Seymour/Hunters & Collectors fan, it would have been awesome to see him and Liam do that. Lucky, lucky people!

I'm sure the person felt like an ass after that. It seems it doesn't matter if Eddie is nice or nasty to the screamers, they still continue to yell.

I was sitting directly behind this guy, he was in the fourth row center. And drunk. And no, he did not stop. He was also the guy who earlier shouted about "play something we can sing" right after everyone had just done a singalong.

Yes, please do tell! He didn't mention anything in Philly 2 or Baltimore 1!! And I heard at Philly 1, he mentioned it was his daughter's bday (oldest one). Anyone able to tell the story(ies)?

Yes, please do tell! He didn't mention anything in Philly 2 or Baltimore 1!! And I heard at Philly 1, he mentioned it was his daughter's bday (oldest one). Anyone able to tell the story(ies)?

    Thanks :D

at Philly 1 he just mentioned it was his daughter's 5th birthday and then he played Forever Young. It was sweet.
Don't come closer or I'll have to go

The story about his daughter and the bear, as best I recall it :
"when my daughter was about two and a half I would play this around the house [Guaranteed], and she was aware of the story, or at least of two things, that there was a young man travelling, and that there was a bear. She would ask about the bear, was it a nice bear, a mean bear, a talking bear? Then one day I sing that line "don't get any closer or I might have to go" and she says "why did you say that?". I repeated it, and she said "I know WHAT you said, I want to know WHY you're saying it." she's two-and-a-half! I said, "I'm not saying it, the young man is saying it on the screen.". That didn't help at all. She said "WHY is he saiyng it?" and she has big eyes of worry. So I said (looking uncomfortable) "uh, well, it's about problems with initmacy and..." [ note : here the laughter was loud and I didn't catch what he said next, but he elaborated a bit]. Luckily, before I said that, I said "it's the bear, he's talking to the bear." (wipes forehead in mock relief)

Another great moment no onehas mentioned is when he pretended to write down the requests, said "yep, I got 'em" then crumpled up the paper and threw it over his shoulder. Priceless.
