Does anybody else think that ever since Bristol Palin (airhead) got her name known, teen pregnancy has become a craze?

While there are messages out there talking about why it's important to wait, and abstinence, etc., it still seems like certain side of it is now acceptable when before that it was more low key.

YEs, here in MD/DC it's apparently cool to get pregnant at that age. I gather these teens want to get their 15 minutes of fame too. Sadly most just find more troubles in their lives.

agreed... not to mention everything turned out a little too perfect in the end of that. kindof glamorized teen pregnancy... and if theres anything i learned from yesterdays "16 and pregnant" thats just not how it works... it was really too depressing and lacked the funny quirks of "true life: i have terrets" and "true life: i have OCD"

Teen pregnancy isn't anything new or going away

i dont like MTV anymore since they became all fake reality TV

I used to catch those REAL LIFE shows..at least they showed real issues and how to help people out that had the issue most times

My favorite was the people who were turned on and would have sex in their Furry Costumes ! They all looked like 2nd rate mascots walking around and would have sex by putting holes in the costumes

I'm more enthralled by this show I saw yesterday about people who didn't know they were pregnant. Just plopped one out on the toilet at Burger King and what not.

Seriously. WTF is wrong with people?

well now that our countrys full of wacky evangelical christians it makes sense that we go back to the old biblical tradition of getting knocked up in your early teen years

pretty scary shit though IMO ... kids are getting less and less responsible and more and more pregnant

    How's that joke go again...

Mickey and Minnie are getting a divorce. They are in court and the judge askes Mickey "Your divorcing Minnie because she is insane?"

Mickey replied "No judge I'm divorcing her because she is fucking Goofy!"

I just can't for the life of me believe what MTV has become. The sad thing is that today's teenagers probably think that it was always like this. And it's not just that they don't play music videos anymore...because today's popular music sucks anyway. But they used to have cool non-music shows in the 90's like Singled Out, MTV Sports with Dan Cortez, Idiot Savants, and Celebrity Deathmatch to go along with music shows like 120 Minutes, Headbanger's Ball and Yo MTV Raps. I've gotton to the point where I don't even want to make fun of the kids who watch today's MTV because I truly feel sorry for them.

before you go feeling sorry for me let me just clarify that my interest in today's MTV is strictly morbid curiosity... I guess that makes me just as guilty as the "tweens" that voted miley cyrus over bruce springsteen for that stupid award show... I just like to remain culturally relevant for the sake of comedy and as a future teacher I think its good to relate to kids... even if culture as I know its a thing of the past

theres just no way of having a true music channel thats impervious to corporate greed... even if it did it would become as obnoxiously hipster as urban outfitters almost instantly... just the opposite extreme... music is becoming more and more a thing to be enjoyed by yourself IMO - the songs themselves are the only things with any sincerity these days

Thanks for that whole "kid" commit. ;)

All in all a lot of my peers liked it. I saw it when it first came out, I understood the concept to the movie but I couldn't for the life of me figure out the point. Seemed like it got way to much hype.

"Girl gets knocked up - Girl finds family for baby - Girl falls for older husband? - Girl gives baby to wife - Girl gets back with boyfriend"

Then I am sure the next sequence would be "Girl gets knocked up again." Then BOOM Juno 2.
