The best thing about living here ... I'm home already. Long live the Tower Theatre! :)

Amazing show. I'm so grateful for the good fortune that allowed me to be there. Ed truly did not disappoint and since it was all good, I can't really pinpoint a highlight, although ARC filled the place with a wonderful sound.

i know, this is a first!!

amazing show. i didn't realize how much i missed that singing until i heard it again tonight! nice cover of 'atlantic city'...loved the jack nicholson impersonation. one thing i did NOT like is that he mentioned the spectrum and said he didn't know that they'd get back there, so say goodbye to it for him. i'm going to assume he's just trying to throw us off track. :)

thank you 10c. 4th row center. Fantastic seats. Liam brought the house down.

Eddie was extremely pissed off at the getgo at something. He blasted through the set. The tempo was sped up through the slow songs. The harder songs had a tougher edge because he was pissed. It seemed like there were issues with him and the crew and the equipment. Even the encore break was brief. Not a lot of candor with the crowd. It was good though because there werent a lot of quiet spots/chances for yellers to get started.

Jack Nicholson 'story time' was classic.

Very quick show. A hell of a lot of fuck ups too. a good 4 songs were messed up real good. His mind wasnt into it.

Atlantic City was near perfect. a little hiccup at the end and no harmonica, but he nailed it.

Its always a hell of a show, but it was an off night for Eddie. For whatever reason(s) he didnt seem into it and seemed to want out of there.

Amazing! Best show ever outside full-fledged Pearl Jam. I got to thinking no other frontman could deliver a show with such range. Two names came to mind: Young and Springsteen. But neither could pull off "Arc."

In the 10th row at the center aisle at the Tower (like, seriously?), I watched Eddie Vedder throw it down with fury and delicacy. For the final song, "Hard Sun," the crowd stormed the stage. My cousin and I were 10 feet from the legend, and in the final moment, with eye contact, he flung his pic toward me, but it whizzed by my hand by three inches. (I actually saw it and felt a light helicopter breeze.) A scramble ensued, and just as I had the pic in sight and crashed to the ground for it, other hands won out milliseconds before mine.

Yeah. Guaranteed was massacred. I dont think he liked the venue. The sound there was off. At first I believe he thought the crew f-ed up the instruments, but when everything handed to him sounded off he figured it was something else. I thought he was going to throw a fit a couple times.

During arc the bass-noise was out of control. It was really overbearing and making a vibratory noise. He was trying to control it himself and couldnt, then gestured to the side as if asking someone to turn something down. Then the noise got worse and he gave the most frustrated-looking grimace.

He seemed to be really fighting the elements tonight.

As far as the Spectrum comments go. Him speaking about the place and getting the crowd excited, then asking everyone to say bye IMO doesnt mean they arent planning on playing there. He gave that glimmer of a look that he could be fucking with everyone.

I thought it was great, better than DC1 and NYC1 last tour. I think he was totally fucking with us about the Spectrum... :D

    Also a surprisingly tame/cool crowd!

I disagree, Ryan. I think DC was a much better performance.

The yellers didnt have much of a chance because he would just roll right into each song... plus it seems like it is much bigger/cavernous of a venue. (except the guy near me who kept yelling 'ghostbusters!'). The guy who yelled 6-3 Phillies was in good taste though and Eddie got a kick out of it. But once these shows turn to sports they always get a little out of control.

He announced it is his daughter's 5th birthday today and he was sad they werent there and he dedicated 'forever young' to her.

Great time, really glad I was able to score a pair of tickets.

I agree with Ryan up there about the Spectrum comment...as soon as he said it I thought to myself, "yeah, this totally confirms it."

Yeah, I might have gotten carried away. I loved all three that I saw!

An amazing night for my husband and myself. Long story short, friend of a friend bought our extra tickets, ended up getting upgraded to front row center by a 10C worker, and swapped seats with us for the second set. Ed handed me his pick after Forever Young (beautiful and touching dedication to Olivia on her birthday, by the way), and I can now die a happy woman!
Tomorrow can't possibly top tonight with my own personal experience, but I'm still looking forward to it!!!

Ed said the three people he cares about the most weren't there...then dedicated Forever Young to Olivia...that was touching. So many things to say...I'm too tired...

*waits for what those things!

hope you have an amazing time tonight! :)

Just got home.. damn I am tired... well only 4 hours till I have to get up for work now, gonna be a great day.

Show was great, I started with seats in the V row and ended up in the A row thanks to some fellow 10C peeps. Gotta say it was a very good show but the sound was a little off. As far as Eddies voice though no problems at all(I know some people got a little worried from the Tonight Show performance). Oh and as stated above me I didn't hate Last Kiss. I am just glad I was able to snag some tickets for this show and I was happy just to be there and hear the music that I love.

Hey if anyone is going tomorrow night and they have the new Klausen poster(Evel Knievel) can you grab me one? I will shoot you the money via paypal if its not to much bother.
Thats a lovely accent you have. New Jersey?

To whoever said the Tower has bad sound is out of their facking mind. The acoustics in that place are notorious. There's a reason people like David Bowie, Paul Simon, and Neil Young have recorded dvd/albums there. If anything I'm sure it was his set-up and/or crew.

Great show. Great seats row DD center Thanks 10c. Got the pick Ed threw into the crowd after Hard Sun. First pick ever. I wanna see the whole band @ the Tower. That would melt your face.

yeah I guess it wouldnt be the venue then. It seemed he was frustrated with quite a few things though, and that was a common denominator I could think of (I dont hail from Philly/have much knowledge of the Tower.)

was it my imagination? Did anyone else sense some frustration on Eddie's part?

Dont get me wrong though. The show was an incredible treat, and I would experience it again at the same price 50 times over again.

Ill never get sick of 'I Am Mine' and 'Man of the Hour' in that setting.

interesting show....I thought the crowd was a little weird....a guy a few rows behind me started yelling UNDONE and i wanted to punch him, but aside from that, people we quiet and just chillin'. Atlantic City was awesome to hear :-) Eddie definitely butchered a few songs, but seemed to be having fun anyway...much shorter show too, by the way!

Sorry to hear that! There's always that element unfortunately, but the rows around me were great, and I was scared the crowd would be SCREAMING at Ed the whole show, which didn't happen.
