I did catch this on the new this am..How many confirmed dead?? Reason to start mandatory vaccinations???

I think I read 130 or so dead somewhere.

This number is nowhere near the NEED for mandatory vaccinations, however I believe that we could be a media hype-storm away from people choosing to get pricked for their own safety.
Something like 700 people die every week from the regular flu.. I don't get what's so bad about this one.

Well, what was bad was that they didn't know what to expect...so they didn't know how bad it could be. Also, the majority of people effected are ages 5-25...with the second highest group those that are <5...so it is effecting a different population then most flus. BUt that being said, I think that they know understand that the effects of this flu are not more severe than the average flu. They are concerned however that it will come back in the fall and be more potent.
