Caught an unreal sound check between the Palace and Liam's bus, loud enough to hear from the sidewalk. Didn't have to strain to hear those notes! While Ed tweaked and tuned he practiced Bruce's song, Open All Night, and it was superb then too, like he has been working on it for awhile.
Also loved nestling my ear up to the crack between these four iron doors long rusted from use as the original Exit for Albany's historic building. I felt a magic stream of air fill me with song as if a seashell had captured my ear, and, instead of ocean, Eddie's sound waves lifted me beyond all thought.

There are no plans for them to release Vedder solo bootlegs. Just as they didnt last year when he toured.

It was a great start to the summer tours!!! I got to meet and talk to Liam Finn before the show. I have a LOT of respect for the man. The venue was beautiful, Eddie was magic as usual. Vedder solo shows provide such an intimate and powerful experience. It was great to share it with the girlfriend. To run up to the front and sing along/make out to "Hard Sun" was worth the cost alone!
Not only that, but the experience after the show was just as great. Dedicated fans waiting outside to meet Eddie talking about the show...man! I even ordered a couple large pizzas from Dino's and shared it with the group. I offered the pizza to Eddie when he came out, and after a moment of rubbing his chin and thinking about it, he declined. With a Corona in hand, how could you NOT want a slice?
