from what i've heard "i'm not hiding" is on its own lil island from the rest of the 18 tracks coming out. i've listened to the new song about 5 times and am starting to really like it.
heard that the record has got 4 or 5 rockers and the rest are more country/blues flavored, but thats just from a few that went to cabin fever.

doesnt matter to me, just can't wait to hear it.

sept. might line up to be a fantastic month for music. i've heard tentative release dates on pearl jam, black crowes, alice in chains, and drive-by truckers that month.

i'll be seeing the Crowes one week from tonight at the VooDoo Lounge at Harrah's Casino in KC!

haven't heard any of the new tunes but that's ok because i like hearing new songs before hearing the studio cuts. :ugeek:

can't wait for next Thursday!! :D
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

Dallas tickets go on sale next week. Yay! I can continue my annual tradition of seeing them at the Palladium because it seems like they have played there every fall for the last 3 or 4 years. I think this will be number 16 for me. I lost count.

    Black Crowes - July 9, 2009 @ Harrah's VooDoo Lounge

    Setlist -

Cursed Diamond; Under A Mountain; Walk Believer Walk; High Head Blues; Ozone Mama; I Ain't Hiding; Young Man, Old Man; Whoa Mule; She; My Morning Song; Oh Josephine; Nonfictionl; Movin' On Down The Line; Goodbye Daughters of the Revolution; Twice As Hard.

Encore: She Talks To Angels; Pmper's Paradise.

Amazing as usual. Seen BC's quite a few times. She (Gram Parsons cover) was excellent but Chris was pissed that much of the close up crowd was yapping during the tune and after the song was over he said something like "This next one is a loud one so you can fucking talk all the way through this one too"

First time I'd seen STTA live, so it was a treat for me.

If you have never seen them live, do so on this tour. That's right, this band tours.

Those damned Black Crowes. And yeah it does feel like Warpaint just came out and what a great album that was. Whoa Mule, Wounded Bird, Movin' On Down the Line, my faves. I caught one of their handful of "One Night Only" shows: http://tr.im/s8vT

It's safe to say that I enjoyed it. It'll be fantastic to get this groove on again!

the KC show was fantastic. 1st cursed diamond in 27 shows for me. it was icing on the cake after that. thick rich icing at that. loved the return of pimpers paridise and i aint hiding really sounded good live too. only got to see 1 show when they had lions out, so both the lions tracks i'd not heard live.

olderman: i was upstairs at tables too, 2nd table on luthers side of stage. got pretty tipsy.
stopped on the way home next day to pick up my crowes in st louis tickets. ahhh, november.

damm i was at table 5 (3rd table on Luther's side) was feeling a bit under the weather (so i did not stand much) but it would have taken a bad fever to keep me away from this show!

Decent review in the current Rolling Stone magazine.
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.

Can't wait to listen to this album...
    Conversations getting dull
There's a constant ringing in my ears
Sense of humor's void and numb
    And I'm bored to tears.......
