If YOU found these kids guilty on all accounts.....

What type of punishment would you give them???
How long of a prison sentence????

    Not sure on the length of sentence, but as long of a time as the law allows.

    I'd have them do their time in the most dangerous prison that I can find, and make them each share a cell with big huge guys who are know for their "romantic exploits" in the joint.

    Long time gone....."want to go to college" boy can take courses in "fuck you up the ass" prison, if he really wants that college degree. As a victim of sexual abuse by an older boy (I much younger than 13), I don't have a lot of sympathy for the culprits. The victim will have to deal with this the rest of his life....why shouldn't they?

    I'm a fan of the old Russian/Soviet punishment system: Get them to a place about as cosy as the Siberian tundra in February and let them work real hard for a long, long time.

    What a shame this abuse went on for such a long time without someone intervening.

    this is horrible that these kids are so young. 5 young lives ruined...one more then others, obviously. I'd say they shouldnt be charged as adults if this was an isolated incident but so this to go on for 2 months? :o sorry, they need to do some hard time.

    I'm an "eye for an eye" kinda guy. I would give the other inmates broomsticks and hockey sticks and have at them.

    Ugh...I feel bad for all of them. Geez....14!?

    It amazes me that those four boys could all be that fucked up. The mentality of these kids is frightening, to say the least. How in the world does that happen. I mean, I can see random people being messed up like that, but for four boys to all continue that abuse is sickening.

    I don't know about sentences....They definitely deserve to be punished, but I can guarantee that sending these kids to prison....well....you might as well write off any possibility of rehabilitation.

    I was thinking the same. I'm not usually one to condone squealing, but that is fucked up.

    Max sentences for all of those kids.

    I agree. these kids are so young, prison is only going to harden them up and mold them into hardcore thugs. such a lose/lose situation all around.

    they need to be punished, prison won't help....I like the forced labor idea.

    But with kids being that fucked up, do you really think that there is a possibility of rehabilitation anyway?

    But they traumatized a boy by raping him repeatedly with a stick. And that kinda thing couldn't have started overnight. They probably were bullying him for years. That kid is now fucked up for the rest of his life. I think the severity of the consequences the VICTIM will be experiencing, for years and decades, has to factor in as well.

    I think at 14, you're pretty well acquainted with the consequences of these actions. This isn't some kid from the ghetto getting caught up in gangs and ending up in a shooting. This is 4 kids indulging in sadistic torture of another kid for months AT SCHOOL. They aren't right in the head. This is basically sign number one for future serial killers.

    I agree... I starting to type out something earlier about maybe one or two of the kids were caught up in peer-pressure or threatened by the rest of the group, but I can't imagine any kid in their right mind going along with this....

    As a teenager we've probably all ended up doing stupid things with friends or were pressured into stuff (stealing things, vandalism, drugs, etc.), but you have to have some major issues to participate in sodomizing another kid several times with hockey sticks.

    look, I'm not disagreeing with you. and dont make what I'm saying sound like I want these kids to go unpunished.

    by life experience, I mean exactly that. say this was a 45 year old teacher doing this instead of these kids. he has been around long enough fully understand how much damage sodomizing a kid with a hockey stick is. if asked, I bet my life those kids dont know the physiological effects their actions have on that kid. or statistics of what happens to kids who get sexually abused. by the time those kids graduated college, that type of stuff is common knowledge ya know?

    well we just dont know for sure. but being 14, and SO many years ahead of them, maybe they can be saved. but rest assured, all focus needs to be on the victim. I'm hoping he gets the help he needs.

    The victim's life may not yet be ruined, but it is forever changed in many ways. Sexual abuse does not cure itself nor does one casually forget it with time passed.

    I find it funny that someone said that these are good kids. Really????? I'd hate to meet what those people think are bad kids.

    This wasn't an isolated incident. These kids are sick.

    I kno you're not saying they shouldn't be punished. I'm just saying I don't think there's a better option out there for them than serious prison time. I'm not so sure these kids would have made it through college. And what's supposed to be done while they learn? Do we give them juvenile punishment? Put them in JDC, pay for a shrink, then send them off to college to date rape a few more girls before they learn enough?

    If it was one incident of bullying, maybe I'd agree that we should look into reform. I can see a bunch of hormonal kids making a huge mistake once and appreciate the tactic of giving them some consequences that won't be so harsh in the hopes they will learn and never repeat. But this was ongoing over months in the brazen sight of the whole school. These kids have no remorse and seem pretty well beyond any sort of reformation for me.
