It is extremely warm inside the building. It was about 80° onstage before X started playing and it just gets warmer as the night goes on.

Set List:
01. Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town
02. Last Exit
03. Do The Evolution
(The audience continues to sing the guitar melody after the song is finished. Ed addresses the audience in Danish)
04. Love Boat Captain
05. Corduroy
06. Present Tense
07. Push Me, Pull Me
08. Even Flow
09. Cropduster
10. Wishlist
11. Insignificance
(Ed lists many of the positive things that Seattle has like bands, beer and coffee. He then says we also have Boeing which makes airplanes, including war planes. It was nice to come here and learn that Denmark is the world leader in wind power. Coming from a nation that is the world's biggest arms dealer and seeing you here doing something positive is great.)
12. Glorified G
13. Why Go
14. State Of Love And Trust
15. Porch

Encore Break 1
Ed asks the audience how they are doing and if they are staying safe. He mentions how hot it is and what troopers the audience are. He says he wished they could turn on the sprinklers.
16. Footsteps
17. Just Breathe
18. Given To Fly
Ed thanks the crew for being so dedicated. He specifically mentions Paul, the tour electrician. Paul is not only the electrician but also a licensed truck driver. He helped double drive the lighting truck so they could set up the show on time. Paul and the normal driver arrived before anyone else and unloaded two trucks before any other crew showed up. Ed also says that most of the crew have been with the band for twenty years and are part of the family.
19. Unthought Known
20, The Fixer
21. Jeremy
22. Rearviewmirror

Encore Break 2
Ed talks about the death of Dennis Flemion of the band The Frogs. They had toured with Pearl Jam. A note Dennis left in Ed's notebook inspired some lyrics for the song "Smile". Ed says "The song says 'I miss you already' and Dennis, we really miss you."
23. Smile
24. Habit
(Ed talks about growing up and not paying attention to geography because it seemed to be about places he never dreamed he would be able to visit. He and the rest of the band are living so far beyond what they ever could have dreamed of. He goes onto say that bands like X taught them to dream about a bigger world and better country. It is a dream come true for Pearl Jam to be on tour with X.)
25. Better Man/Save It For Later-(Charley, Cox, Morton, Steele, Wakeling)
26. Crazy Mary-(Williams)
Ed thanks the audience again and especially the people that we have been seeing up front since the first show. He suggests they start bands because they have the touring part down. He says, "writing songs is easy, touring is hard. You got the hard part down." He goes on to say that they will be thinking of the faces they saw night after night when they think about this tour.
27. Alive
Ed thanks the audience and introduces the band. He then jokingly says "thank you and goodnight"
28. Baba O'Riley-(Townshend)
29. Yellow Ledbetter

Please share your experiences of the show here...the Fanview threads are preserved on the board.

X Set List:
01. Your Phone's Off The Hook But You're Not
02. Sugar Light
03. Because I Do
04. Poor Girl
05. Unheard Music
06. Breathless
07. Hungry Wolf
08. Los Angeles
09. The World's A Mess, It's In My Kiss (Members of Pearl Jam join X on stage to sing)
10. Who You Know
11. Nausea
12. New World w/ Mike McCready
13. Johny Hit And Run Pauline
14. Soul Kitchen
15. Devil Doll w/ Eddie Vedder

Gordan: What a great show. Never had my shirt that wet, I was drowning in my own sweat. By far the best of the three Scandinavian shows, imo. Energy was great, few nice suprises and Baba before YL to complete the great setlist. Thanks PJ and see you next year! :D

Cropduster :o That heat woulda destroyed me tho...

It WAS devastating. I was even about 10 rows out on Stone's side, but by the 2nd encore, I was pretty much spent from the heat.

Besides that, having just returned from Stockholm and Copenhagen (and with a vicious ringing in my eyes I pray will go away - and I even use earplugs!), it's kinda hard to express in adequate words how great this band is. They do seem to just grow better and better, their shows an increasingly organic experience. Just the difference between the main sets in Stockholm and Copenhagen is pretty staggering.

Most of all, it's so, so amazing to witness and be part of the mutual respect and love between these 6 guys in the band and us on the other side of the barriers. So many bands and single musicians pull the same card, but it often feels like a shtick, not completely felt from the heart, but with PJ, the love of their fans is written plainly on their faces, expressed clearly in their words and felt purely in their music.

Yesterday was yet another roaring show, with a crowd on fire (nearly set the damn building on fire too, with that heat!), and the best I can say is what so many others have said: I can't wait to do it again!

    WOW!

What a show the band seemed more thight than in Stockholm. The crowd was the Best Danish crowd ever (or at least the Best crowd I have ever been a part of in Denmark ;) ) thanks!
    Ed speaking Danish =

Cropduster was spot on - actually a great song......!
I loved LBC and SOLAT they nailed both. Only setback was "push me pull me" which i dont think Works live..
Hey this rocked! Great to have both Porch and RVM - they set the place on fire.
......and I must admit I find ...small town a nice opener - and followed by last exit and evolution had an amazing impact on the crowd.

And last but not least: It was the best Alive :clap: the solo and the jam was simply GREAT!

I had the best time in the 10c line with Erron and Trevor their compadres (I hope you had the best day in my City and saw Christiania!)

But my god it was hot in there.

    Amazing show, WERY hot :)

Eddy totally forgot the lyrics to SMILE, and missed the chorus in Rearview.. :) apart from that everything was spot on I especially enjoyed Porch, Glorified and Footsteps... holy moly.

GREAT audience, band was wery tight, McReady and Boom were on fire, and there was a great feeling in the audience everybody was smiling and rockin.

    gotta luv PJ

First of all - Wonderful concert - Best experience of my life ever! I'll never forget it. Thanks to Pearl Jam.
Secondly - Eddie spoke Danish (how awesome is that?:D) And he said at last in danish that he would start speaking English from now on because his Danish is shit (shit = lort) And then the crowd laughed out loud. He is so charming :D:D:D

I'm a 5'4 little girl between these 2 meter tall men, I was almost drowning in that crowd up front. I stood ten footsteps from the scene. I loved it although I couldn't get air. I got completely wet because of the heat. The heat was enormous and the show was amazing. I needed water so badly at the encore break 2 but I thought to myself that it could wait. Suddenly I couldn't feel my body and I almost ran as fast as I could to the bar to get some cold water. My body was shaking like an earthquake. It took me 3-4 numbers to get back and forth. I'm glad I did it, otherwise I would have passed out.

I have been to many concerts but never tried anything like this heat. Damn. But the show was so amazing - It was my first show and when I saw them come out and they started to play I immediately cried of relief. Today this morning I can't believe I've seen Pearl Jam live. I'm so chocked that I've stood that close to them - Those whom have made the best music ever. I was also chocked that I couldn't enjoy the great songs Smile and Better Man because I was nearly fainting.

What an evening!! :D I'll never forget it. They played my favorite song State of Love and Trust. And Insignificance - WOW. Even Flow was just as crazy in the crowd as I imagined it to be. I hope my next Pearl Jam show will be less warm. And to everyone out there - remember to drink lots of water before these PJ shows. This was the greatest experience I've ever had. I'm looking forward to see you again Pearl Jam.

    Love
    Simone

Just wondering, whose written all these great openers with most of what Ed says to audience? When either Sea or Kat is running them.

    Great Job!

  • Brillant show! Unbelievably hot... Forum is generally a shitty venue, but the sound was better than usual yesterday.

Great setlist. Last Exit, Cropduster, LBC, Insignificance, Glorified G, Unthought Known and the majestic Crazy Mary was the highlights for me...

Thanks for a great tour, only 2 shows for me this time, but I've been reading a lot in here about the other ones, though I'm not as active here as I used to be.

So tired today, and my day at work goes very slow...

This show was perfect to round off the tour and I could'nt have asked for a better setlist for my hometown show.

What a night. What a band.

A new Euro tour can't come soon enough. Shame it's all over now!

Got to meet Eddie after the show and spoke with him for a few minutes. He's just as nice and gentle as I had imagined him to be. A great way to end off the tour!

Only downer was the Forum. the heat was unbereable. I can't believe we can't seem to get fresh air in there. Also We were standing in the longest line I have ever seen, just to get in. Seemingly a somewhat 10.000 plus crowd can take all organizers by surprise and only one entrance was open for the GA crowd :fp:

Epic. Fantastic way to end the tour. LBC was amazing. The venue was way too hot though, but that was the only complaint!

Great set. However, I thought the crowd were pretty tame tonight. I was at Manchester 1 about 8 from the front and it was well and truly rocking - I couldn't have stood still if I'd tried. Last night I was about 3 from the front on Stone's side and I stood and watched the whole gig - which was great for a change, to get that close and see what was going on. A few people tried to jump around at times and got told to calm down! I couldn't believe it. I've never sen this at a PJ gig before. Anyway, the Manchester 1 crowd got a bit of stick after Manchester 2, so I'm just saying it was chalk and cheese compared to what I experienced last night. Still a great gig though, really hot and a great sound where I was.

I totally agree with you. I have never gotten as many elbows in my side, pushes and angry stares in a PJ show ever when starting to jump around to the faster songs. It really bummed me out as I had so much energy coming into this show.

I feel like some people believe because they have queued for an entire day to get into the front rows they then own the floor and expect to be able to stand with no pushing and shoving interrupting their moment they have been waiting and queueing so long for. These people need a reality check, its not their floor and their show. Its a rock n roll show with the greatest kick ass band ever!

I always keep my elbows down, always appologise if I bump in to someone a bit too rough, but some people just shouldnt stand in the front rows.

The response from some of the people in front ruined my experience a bit. Luckily I had some really cool people next to me as well!
