Ed's got balls!

Ball's enough to talk about the big oil cover up in the gulf. The interview on Fallon was great- some good humor, Ed's blending of the two album covers- very funny! But I was so stoked to here Ed mix in some serious business as well and he did it with class- not beating anyone over the head with it, being a little cryptic which was cool, a bit of humor thrown in- if we can't laugh, what's the point- but something to really think about as well. Fallon kind of shoved the matter aside as I suppose most TV show hosts would- too bad- but it was there on a major TV network, it happened, Ed did it. Eddie Vedder, I'm damn proud of you!

I love how he tore up Fallon's album to make it fit inside the LB album. Typical Ed.

  • It was awesome! It amazes me that a man as busy as he has been lately keeps up on current events better than I do. I always learn something from him that I have to look up later. Ogallala aquifer and the Keystone oil pipeline, TS Karen stirring up the oil spill . . .:clap:

What did the D/J mean on Ed's guitar?

    I was wondering about also.

I love that big "ZINN" right in the middle of Ed's guitar.

I am so glad that I got the Thursday & Friday Fallon shows on my DVR. Friday’s interview was hilarious and I’ll be watching it again…. Oh, and the band was great too!

Yea, not sure if that was bad editing or what, but when Fallon appeared to cut him off and talk about the Grammy I was thinking WTF??? But the fact that Fallon did the whole Balls in Your Mouth thing shows he has the guts to put those kinds of issues out there so I'm not sold on the fact that it was intentional to avoid controversy.

Fallon is so far ahead of his peers these days that it's ridiculous. Nice to see a host show genuine excitement.

He doesn't even do anything groundbreaking, but he's the only tonight show host who actually acts like he enjoys his job. Haven't seen that since Carson.

  • The only thing about Fallon is what others have said sometimes, he tends to talk over his guests or interrupt before they finish an answer. I had recorded some of Carson Daly just in case it went through, and while his show is a different format, I enjoyed the more conversational aspect of it (might get blasted for that!)

Ed was great. The whole pearl jam week on Fallon and the social media marketing by pj for the new album and tour have been great as well.

I agree. Fallon is really funny but it stopped the conversation. He's gotten a lot better since the start of his show.

I thought I'd get a good lambasting for bringing up the activist aspect of Ed's interview and (so far anyway) haven't. I'm glad to hear you good people thought the interview great as well. Today was the end a grueling two weeks at work and I was on my last legs but even having stayed up late to watch the show and getting up a few hours later, I was stoked the whole day. The kind of good stuff EV puts out there- oh man, it goes a long way! Thank you Eddie Vedder!
