Pearl Jam Fan Yearbook: Submit Your Mug Shot until APRIL 15!

The Wishlist Foundation is sponsoring the development of “The 2011 Pearl Jam Fan Yearbook,” which is a physical memento and tribute to Pearl Jam fans, the music, the tour memories, and Pearl Jam's history over the past 20 years. To our knowledge, this type of thing has never been done before, for any band, so we’re all very excited! As the Class Editors, Colleen & Selin want to tell you more about this project and our piece of it...

You, the FANS, are a dynamic, interesting, & diverse part of Pearl Jam’s 20-year history. Not unlike a high school yearbook, our book will have several unique sections to thumb through, and one of them will be “Class Photos.” Well guess what, YOU are a class member! By being a Pearl Jam fan, you are an important part of their history, and we want to honor each and every one of you! We strongly encourage every person in the Pearl Jam fan community to get involved, and this is the first simple step...

We hereby invite ALL Pearl Jam fans to submit a photo (a.k.a. “mugshot”) of yourself to be included in the yearbook’s “Class Photos” section!!!

Submission of your photo and information is totally ***FREE*** so just follow the steps below (and pay CAREFUL attention to steps #5 & 7). DO NOT SUBMIT A PHOTO UNTIL YOU READ *ALL* OF THE INFO HERE... IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS PROPERLY, WE CAN NOT USE YOUR PHOTOS!

1) Please READ the steps below before actually doing them. You will need to take a proper photo, have it ready for upload, and have the requested information gathered / ready for submission.

2) Go to https://www.yearbookordercenter.com/ and enter order # 13732, then click “Continue.”

3) Click “Upload Photos” on the right, then click “Yes” to continue to eShare.

4) Enter your info, read and agree to the terms & conditions, and click “Browse for Images.”

5) Select your personally-owned portrait from your hard-drive or other media. GUIDELINES:
-we strongly recommend you take a brand new pic, so that it’s current and meets these specifications
-shoot it with the camera settings on HIGH RES/LARGE format
-take it in good lighting and make sure it's focused, so it doesn't look "grainy" or "blurry"
-use a high quality ORIGINAL image, meaning UNCOMPRESSED or low-compression (NO pics downloaded off the web, including Facebook)
-cropped loosely in a vertical (portrait) position
-at least 900 pixels wide by 1350 pixels tall AFTER cropping, the larger the better
-DO NOT USE A PHOTO THAT IS TOO SMALL & TRY TO "RESIZE" IT LARGER, the quality of the "new" photo will not be good enough
-you should be the ONLY person in the photo
-it should be relatively recent... we're not looking for your 3rd grade elementary school pic with your front teeth missing
-head and shoulders only, facing front, hands should not be showing
-wearing appropriate and tasteful attire
-taken in front of a solid-colored background, if possible
-cross between a passport photo and a yearbook pic, SMILE
-do NOT crop too tightly, as we will need some room to edit for uniformity
-photos that do not meet the above criteria can not be used in the yearbook
-learn more about image size & quality here: http://www.microscope-microscope.org/im ... lution.htm, but disregard the grid at the bottom, because we will be aiming to print at a 300 DPI/PPI resolution

6) Click “OK” to confirm the upload.

7) Fill out the form beneath your photo with the following information:
-In the Grade(s) of students field, type in your country.
-In the Student(s) shown in picture field, type in your full name, followed by (mugshot). Example: “Colleen Palacios (mugshot)”
-In the Description field, type in your city & state / province, and OPTIONALLY: your most-used online handle (such as TenClub username).
-Also in the Description field... we are taking a poll of the participants to possibly be used for a “fun stats” type of page, so please include more info (also OPTIONAL):
*your age as of August 27, 2011
*your occupation
*1st PJ show you attended
*favorite PJ show you attended
*your favorite venue that PJ has played
*your favorite PJ album
*your favorite PJ song
*your favorite PJ lyric
*your favorite PJ band member
*your favorite piece of PJ memorabilia or merchandise
-ONLY 250 CHARACTERS ALLOWED IN THE "DESCRIPTION" FIELD, SO BE CONCISE WITH YOUR INFORMATION!

8) Finally, click “Submit Image Information.”

9) Deadline for class photo submissions: APRIL 1st, 2011.

*Note: all proceeds from these yearbook sales are going toward the Wishlist Foundation in the form of tax-deductible donations. Everyone who purchases a yearbook will receive a receipt for your charitable contribution.

Your photos and information will be kept strictly confidential and will ONLY be used for this yearbook project. The only people with access to them are the Wishlist Foundation’s yearbook staff. Our goal is to have this project completed by this summer so that yearbooks may be distributed in time for the 20th anniversary “Weekend Bash,” where you can bring it along and have your fellow fans autograph their photos (and you can autograph your own, in their yearbooks!). While we *hope* that people who make submissions will also be interested in buying the final product, it is not mandatory. Again, your participation is *FREE*, and it will cement your name and face in the tangible pages of Pearl Jam’s history!
