I was there, it was amazing, probably the 3rd or 4th best PJ show ive seen.

IMO any 94 show with Dave on drums is just a different planet.
Agree about dave. Him behind the kit was amazing. Not that MFC doesn’t rock. Just different

Going to stream this whole show today. Just on to Nothingman and Eddie started talking about Kenneth Star and you could plainly hear someone scream, "Just play! Play a fucking sooooong!" He'd literally been talking for about 10 seconds. Politics and PJ even in '98 when he really didn't say much.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Definitely 1 of a few really memorable shows from an otherwise ho hum tour.  Somehow ended up in the 100s stage side Mike's side.  So much better than night 1 which was a train wreck.

There is a bit much of hype because of Breath being played, but this was a really good show, one of the better of that US Tour.  But overall I am not a huge fan of that tour.  The real winners were were 7.2, 7.14, 7.18, 9.3, 9.11 and 9.16

I still scratch my head as to how 7.13 was picked for a Vault over 7.14.

Ho hum? Man 98 was my favorite tour. What shows did you do in 98?

    8.22, 8.25, 8.26, 8.28, 9.8, 9.10 and 9.11

They played excellently for the most part, but the shows were not outstanding to me.  Much prefer the 2003, 2005, 2000 and even the 2006 tour to 1998.  It is also fair for me to say I was a big jaded by this tour.  I absolutely hated that they went back to ticketmaster and the fanclub took a hit on seat access this tour which left me further disenchanted.  To top it off I felt like they buried some of the Yield tracks that I really liked such as No Way, Pilate and Yesterdays.

Had I happen to have been at the 7.2, 7.18, 9.3 and 9.16 shows along with 9.11 I probably would think differently.

In 98 I went to the Tibetan freedom concert, la x2, Camden x2, e Rutherford and msg x2.  I remember All of the shows being amazing. I absolutely loved that tour. To each their own.
I jusr remember the 98 tour being fun as hell.

I didn't think anyone traveled like that in '98.
As broke as I am now, I was even more so back then. Pretty lucky you got to travel like that. You mentioned the poster surviving college, pretty awesome college years to get to do all that. Can you sense the jealousy?

My mom would only let me pick 1 night for LA (I was in high school), so I did N1. After that I picked up 2 shows a tour, usually San DIego and Vegas because I was living in San Diego (and vegas was fun). One of the big regrets is not picking up more LA shows those years, but I was broke and in college. And for the 2006 tour I was student-teaching and missed 3 LA shows that year because I was working full time for free.
I remember sitting at home one night and knowing PJ was playing an hour away and it was killing me I couldn't afford more than 2 shows. I was in a bad mood that night.

Made up for it a little in 2009 when they did 4 shows in LA though. Caught them in San Diego and Toronto that year too.

I did both MSG's and both Greatwoods.  Both stints seemingly followed the same pattern (average/ok night 1, amazing night 2).  But agree that those shows were lots of fun. I was in college at the time and was the first tour seeing them multiple times.  I was in heaven.

Haha!! Jessica Lettekman sent me a tape of the show which I listened to a shitload of on my walkman. Other than the Breath campaign, just another great show from a great tour!

Far from overblown. How do I know the name Jessica letterman? I used to trade shows back in the day.  Name sounds so familiar.

Hard to believe it was 20 years! I was there on the floor for my second pj show and had 10C seats. I remember sending in that postcard to request my tickets. The show, it was into the stratosphere! After 62 shows this is still my #1. Always chasing that concert high from 1998.

She definitely ran some sort of PJ fanzine/website.  Twofeetthick maybe?  I think she also sung Breath with Ed at the 2016 MSG shows after he saw her "it's my 50th show" sign, or something like that.

Yeah, I am not sure I can see how this show is overblown, the Breath aspect maybe, but this show is nearly flawless front to back.  One of the best versions of Alive, ever, killer runs through Immortality, Rearview, Black, Off He Goes, and one of the better Baba's they have ever done.  It wasn't a show or set filled with deep cuts or anything like that, but the performance was off the hook.

    Me too.
Still have my ticket stub, poster and breath sign.
The ticket price was 25 Dollars.
But I had to buy mine in Germany through secondary market for 250 Dollars, that was more than the cost for 7 nights at a YMCA youth hostel in Manhattan.

In the morning of show day I was on top of WTC, still have the ticket with 9/11 on it- that's a hard one!
