This is super interesting to me.  I love collecting posters of shows I've gone to (if I like the poster) but have never been a get a poster because it might be valuable guy.  I only have a few.  My favorites are Oakland 97 Marching Elephants from PJ opening for the Rolling Stones and a solo EV show I went to in Oakland that has a cool star wars theme to it -- I forget the year.  I bought the weird cowboy poster from the Oakland Lightning Bolt tour but it actually hurts my eyes to look at.  I was at Rome this year but all the merch was pretty much gone by the time I got there -- that is a pretty cool poster.  I also went to Seattle Night 1 and could have bought any of the posters as I purchased a shirt, the patch set, and some stickers but none of them really spoke to me.  I'd probably be a terrible investor if I did that for a living.

I have a very strict policy that I only buy posters from shows I attend. It would get out of hand fast if not. Including the Chicago 2018 5 Poster Set I have 17 posters from shows I have been to (Only 3 PJ shows sadly), all in frames hung up in my 1 bedroom apartment!
I have around 20 posters to match the number of Pearl Jam shows I've seen. The 20 posters are a mix of PJ and Vedder solo posters. I'm selective in the posters I buy. If I don't have space to display it, I'm not buying it; I also think most of these posters are unattractive. Let's face it, the majority of these posters are not main floor house friendly to hang. I've never understood the fascination with the Cracker Jack and Donkey Kong posters as they both look like non-original artwork to me.

After further thought, I agree, that wave EMEK is likely the most sought after.

I have about 150 posters from 96-now, and every poster from every show i've attended, about 100 PJ and PJ related shows. My ONLY shut out was that goddamn transformer in 2015 at Global Citizens, and I don't like it, so I refuse to pay big bucks for it.

I just really enjoy collecting them, chasing some, getting them framed and matted from people as gifts, they rule. I was thinking how this hobby found me this week.

And there are TOTALLY first floor of the house friendly posters which are in my living room, but they are harder to find.

Hartford 2010 is a gem over my piano, the NY 98 street seller looks great, as well as the 2011 toronto 1 moose.

Im with you tho, no skulls, dead animals, or 3 eyed anything in the main rooms, lol.

Where's the simplest site/place to see each of these that you mention?  I think I know which one is the wave EMEK, but not positive.  And I don't think I've ever seen Hartford 2010.

    Thanks!

So, given the price, do any of you have that EMEK wave hanging in your living rooms?  Cuz I'm pretty sure I'm seeing some skulls in that wave... I think one of them even has 3 eyes!  Or, well, 3 eye sockets?

    =)

I LIVE in Moline and I don't even have a Moline poster. Last year for my birthday, my fiancé found a hi-res version of it and printed it off as a big ass poster. It'll do...for now. Can't bring myself to pay a ton for a piece of paper these days.

I’m still searching for the 98 Troy-Chicago. I feel like I’m never going to find one in good condition. I’m willing to pay the money for it because it was my first PJ concert, and first concert ever. If anyone ever wants to part with theirs, please keep me in mind!

Go to expresso beans and list it as WANTED. Plenty of guys contact me with insane prices, but once in a while you can get something for a reasonable amount.

Did that last year. There’s one on eBay right now, but it’s in pretty rough shape. Wondering if it’s worth it to get it and have it fixed since I’m having trouble finding one in good shape.

I had a printed picture of that hung in my dorm room for a while.  That Alpine Valley show (at least the one I went to) was great.

My wife and I lucked out at the ‘13 Pitt show! Wasn’t even thinking about getting merc, headed straight up to grab a beer and ran into an individual stand on the second level just opening up selling posters. Got a beer and poster within 5 minutes of walking in!

I found Denver 98 on the espressobean site. It was my first PJ concert and obviously not even a thought of getting a poster then. So sort of same boat.

It was in pretty used condition but after framing it it's not very noticeable. Might be something to consider if that's all you find.

I never understood the hype over the Cracker Jack. I have the Ames and the Munk One from that show which were better posters to me. The Pitt 13 however I do understand. I'm looking at it on my wall right now. It's pretty sweet.
I didn't know this but was talking to people in the merch line about the cracker jack.  Chicago apparently was the home of the cracker jack factory which I didn't know.  I thought it was just baseball themed and related to Wrigley.  I think a lot of local Chicagoans want the poster for that reason and increases demand.  Kind of like this years Thomas the Train.  It's PJ related but also intimately mixed with the town the show was in.
