I can't get into country voice Pearl Jam.

    And did he seriously sing:
"Her legs spread out before me as her body lie still"??

    "Legs spread"??
Nevertheless... a great cover! Can this be our holiday single? I'd like that.

It does sound like "her legs spread". If you're not thinking about the lyrics.

Come on!  That would be the most disappointing holiday single since the Beyoncé duo.
Ive heard better covers of this song from PJ cover bands..

So did I when I first listened to the song way back.  Could also be a deliberate word change (like Eddie in Hard Sun or Sturgill's cover of In Bloom)

Really? Because this is the ONLY good Pearl Jam cover I have ever heard. Except for the Chilean Eddie Vedder, of course.
And I'm not a fan of that duet either.

    Nice cover.

Pearl Jam songs rarely get covered so it is interesting to hear the different takes.

Was it a big fail, when Eddie talked about Trent Reznor as a great musician but then sang Cash lyrics to Hurt?

Maybe Zac Brown wanted to sing other lyrics. Maybe wanted to sing it like he's always heard it.

(or maybe he just fucked up :) )

People who claim they've never heard a band do a great cover of a Pearl Jam song have obviously never heard Gaslight Anthem do State of Love and Trust.

Aaron Lewis doing Black, Seether doing Immortality and Prince doing just the music for Even Flow I think are pretty good ones in my opinion,

Look up Billy Strings' cover of In Hiding.  It's phenomenal.

Glad you mentioned these, all great covers. The Aaron Lewis cover of Black is pretty damn awesome.

Tori Amos doing Black had potential. I don't know why she removed the bridge..?
