It's my favorite PJ album, but Riot Act is a real close second (some days it's my fave), and Pearl Jam is a very close third. I love those three albums a LOT. They are all in my top 5 (the other two are No Code and Yield).
Obviously Backspacer and LB are my least favorite PJ albums. By far.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata
avocado won PJ's twitter poll last night. I wish i could connect with that album. I dont know why i cant.
Riot Act is connected with an amazing time period for me. Backspacer is extremely listenable. Those two pop singles are awesome man. Especially when your teenage kids and their friends come home blasting it. I was so proud.
That said, I'm not a Backspacer hater. I'll happily sit and listen to it but it's nowhere near classic PJ status IMO.

Avacado. I felt it was the best album since Yield and a return to form. I love that album. Riot Act is decent and reminds me of my university days.... but Avacado is my favourite of the Matt Cameron era albums.
If I knew where it was, I would take you there.

Tough one....but riot act for me obviously post roskilde it was going to be a emotionally charged album, from can't keep to all or none it's a masterpiece , with the election of George bush and 9/11 fresh in the mind it reflected the albums edge, I am mine, green disease and ghost my favs and arc a fitting tribute. Backspacer a close second...allthough not a fav on the forum I think the album is a good balance in there catalogue...a different edge...

LB is easily at the back of this line. It makes Backspacer seem like a strong entry.
All that I once held as true
I stand alone without beliefs
The only truth I know is you.

LB was a close second.
Good results for self titled, doing better than I thought it would, not that I dislike it, gets a lot of love around here lately.
