i think you have to transfer from teh red line to the greenn line at rosevelt at least that's what frank thomas did last week for a CSN this is how you get to the game now spot.
YES.
Train will stop 2 blocks further east at state street off the green line.

Discount Sox ticket offer.....use code SATC for the discounted tix....
Staying at Hotel Felix (not super happy about it, but decent deal)
1: Giordano's or Gino's East? (or a third option that I've never had)
2: Al's Italian Beef or Portillo's?
3: Why doesn't Goose Island bottle their Green Line Pale Ale? It's only available on tap around Chicagoland and is a beautiful thing.
4: Best watering holes downtown? (love the Local 22 on Hubbard)
5: Best high-end places for atmosphere and drinks? (Michael Jordan's Steakhouse, Rooftop Terrace at Trump's)
6: Who else knows how great Heaven on Seven is? New Orleans style food - Try the Voo Doo Chicken enchiladas!
7: Willis Tower Skydeck or Hancock Observatory for views? May do both
8: Where am I going to get tickets? Have the whole trip planned, will be pretty shitty to have to listen from the street.

I can answer a few...
1. Lou Malnati's
2. Portillo's
3. Not sure about that one. I have always wondered that myself. Green Line on tap is very good.
6. Heaven on Seven is awesome.
7. Grab a drink at the Signature Room on the 95th floor of the Hancock.
8. day of the show on the street will prob be your best bet. Prices are still ridiculous on stubhub, ebay, etc...
2: Al's beef for sure
3: Green line is the bomb...
4: DT sucks for bars in my opinion. Id say take a cab to wicker park, ukrainian village west loop, or up north for some good bars.
5: Mj's is cool, currently loving Del Friscos, anything around the viagra triangle is good. Gibsons, Tavern on rush...
6: no comment ;-)
7: Hancock you can have a drink, nice view not as high as willis. Willis is very cool.
8: can't help ya there...
2. Al's Italian Beef
3. Less packaging waste because its "green"
4. Depends on what your looking for. Go to Hubbard st if your looking for crowds and a "scene" and like to wait in line. Otherwise go to Wicker Park or Lincoln Park.
5. Trump
6. It's ok
7. Hancock
8. ?
1. Ginos... or if you can.. get up to AOP (Art of Pizza) at Ashland and Nelson in Lakeview... this is the best stuffed pizza there ever was.
2. Portillos
3. nfi
4. Delilah's or Lilly's on Lincoln...
5. nfi
6. its amazing, it really really is.
7. either or, but Sears tower would have my vote
8. Sox tickets? easy... if you pay more than 10 bucks you've been robbed. PJ Tix.. .impossible.
Oh yeah, the gumbo is good. The pecan pie is amazing with the creme fris

as long as your are north of rosevelt you are fine and unless you changed hotels...you are fine.
Rock Bottom brewery has a nice rooftop bar. Definitely not as pricey as some of the other rooftop places downtown.
Fireworks at Navy Pier every Saturday night.
You don't have to actually transfer. The red line train just switches to the green line tracks once you get to the Roosevelt stop.
2) Portillo's
3) Don't know. Search out 3 Floyd's instead
4) Delilah's
5) If you are Wino try Boarding House. For fancy mixed drinks The Aviary or The Whistler
6) I love their cheddar jalapeno corn muffins
7) Hancock is a better view by the lake. Willis has the glass floor thing. I prefer Hancock because it is right in middle of all things touristy while Willis is abit off the beaten path.
8) Good question that more than one person is asking. Wish I had a answer for ya.
2) Portillo's
3) Three Floyd's (gumball head, zombie dust and artic panzer wolf)
4) Delilah's is good and AliveOne has a great jukebox - if you are in town on Sunday night, Stanley's has great live band karaoke
5) Too many to list - you can't go wrong with the Eater 38 List http://chicago.eater.com/archives/2013/04/09/updated-the-38-essential-chicago-restaurants-april-13.php
6) Never been
7) Get a drink at the Signature Room at the Hancock
8) Sorry man - can't help you out there.
Hah. The lady and I will be at Hotel Felix. Are you not jazzed about staying in an eco-friendly boutique hotel? I actually stayed there once back when I was in grad school in Illinois (remembered this after I booked it for PJ). It was fine. Rooms are a bit small, but I don't plan on spending any significant amount of time in the room.
Just the small rooms, I'm sure it's fine. By the way, which room? I am going to come rob you for your tickets!!!
I hated the beer at Rock Bottom, and might have gotten food poisoning there. Directly after spending a night at House of Blues, some irish pub in the area, and Rock Bottom, I went back to the Hotel and threw up for the next 15 hours (not because I drank too much), and was sick for a few days. Since Rock Bottom was the last place I was and the beer tasted bad, I'm blaming them
