i had a similar probelm with an itunes upgrade. did you recently upgrade to 8.0? a few upgrades ago, my ipod was not syncing or being recognized at all. i downgraded to a known working level and all is well.

Mine has been F'd up since I downloaded 8.0 also. It does not recognize many of my downloads anymore. I do not know if downgrading will help, but, what should I downgrade to if I try it?

If I knew where it was I would take you there. There's much more than this

if you were working fine before 8.0, then just download 7.7.1.11.

make sure you uninstall itunes 8.0, restart computer, then install 7.7.1.11. you should not have to worry about your info/preferences/library as mine were there as if i never did anything to itunes.

i am still running 7.6 and have not had any problems.

I am using a PC. I downgraded and it did not help. It seems that alot of my PJ that I downloaded has an explanation point next to it and does not work. I am really sad. So far these are the ones I have found are gone: Amsterdam 96,Atlanta 94, Bridge school 06 and 94,Unplugged, The Academy, and all of the demos that I had are gone...just to name a few. I don't have as much as many of you do, but I really liked what I had. I hate Apple!

when i had this problem, itunes restored my ipod cause for some reason the "manage music manually" was unchecked. i would just restore the ipod and re-transfer the library back.
