Mansfield it's not that great... and yeah, it took about 1 hour to get out of that damn parking lot!
And then the curfew... man, last summer they had to "abruptly" stop playing...

Oh my god that would have been amazing, some people next to us gave us some beer which was cool and we blasted Binaural. But this my friends was only the beginning of the nightmare. Took us 3 hours? to get back to our hostel in Boston. We got sooo lost.

the mansfield police (IM NOT A BIG FAN OF THEIRS SINCE A DEBACLE IN 2000!!!!!) but anyway... in 2008 they told me that for pearl jam or dmb it takes 3- 3.5 hours to get the lots clear.

One of the problems is that they actually CLOSE the lots as they let others out. So you have no choice but to sit and wait.

And forget trying to get a cab... HOLY SHIT! That is just as bad!

It's HIGH on my list of least favorite venues to road trip for a show!

I totally agree. GThe $40 is worth it at that place. After waiting what seemed liked foreverafter night 1, I paid the extra money for night 2. It was def worth it IMO.

All you people with the Mansfield hate ... you just don't get it.

After the show, you KNOW there is going to be horrible traffic ... so, chill in the lot, crank up your favorite PJ boot, fire up the grill again, and have a few pops (except for the driver) ... who the hell wants to rush home after seeing a great show?

As for the cops ... you know, if you're discrete, they won't harass you.

Overall ... just a lot of jealousy, as that venue has posted some of the best shows in this band's history.

    :D :P  :P :D

Agreed.....To me the best part of the summer is going there for a few shows a year. I love getting there early, bbqing, drinking and hanging out, enjoying a show, and repeating step one for a couple hours. Awesome. But i can understand those of you who want to get out of there in a hurry. I live 10 mins away so i dont really care.

see, that's just poor planning. The idea of getting a cab, there? Can't believe people didn't warn you against that.

Next time, make some friends ... hang out with them after the show and knock back a few, I'm sure they'd be cool with giving you a lift back to your hotel.

the only knock I have against Mansfield ... the curfew, that blows.

Use the $40 to buy more supplies after for the show ... MUCH better use of funds.

We all catched a cab at the local gas station. I went with friends. Didn't have a drive back from Mansfield to the Red Roof. I went on this trip, from Halifax, Nova Scotia to the last 5 show in the East Coast, own my own. Walked alone to & from the Wishlist Foundation preparty from the Inn. 2nd night, I did have a drive from the Centre to the Inn. We were still in the parkway for a long time to get out, cause of the idiots who ran the place were so unorganized. And yes, the curfew thing sucks.

Will there ever be a centre, place etc.. where Pearl Jam could play, say till after 1am? Other then Festivals??
