edited July 2017 in The Porch
Here we will continue evaluating each LP from the Greatest Hits release Rearviewmirror.
We will now move on to the final LP 4 (Sides 7 and 8)
We will get a winner from each LP and those 4 will compete to find the winner.
Winner for LP 1 = Alive
Winner for LP 2 = Rearviewmirror
Winner for LP 3 = Black

For anyone new to the game:
You are going to pick the song that you think is the "Weakest Link" after 2 days I remove the two (2) songs with the most votes.
We will then move on to Round 2. - Remember you are voting to eliminate songs from contention.

Have FUN!

Poll will close on Wednesday, 7/26 at 3:00pm cst

This round has potential of only losing one song. I'll be surprised if another song gets 10 votes.

    Had the same thought.

Given To Fly likely to win here but Yellow Ledbetter is my favorite of the bunch.

The dislike for Last Kiss always blows me away a bit... but then most here likely don't have the same nostalgic attachment to that song.

If there´s one song I don´t particularly care much about, that is Wishlist.
I´ll admit that I lately I got a bit tired of Last Kiss, but I prefer still prefer it over Wishlist.

    I Am Mine
I loved Last Kiss when I would spin  the fan club record before it blew up.    I Am Mine sounded boring from the first listen.  Maybe it is a great song because it sounds like it wrote itself, but to me it just sounds boring.

Coin toss between Light Years and Man Of The Hour for me.
(Last Kiss would have been a wasted vote so I'll go with my second choice)

I don't know why, but I haven't been a big fan of Wishlist and GTF. I feel like since I've gotten Sirius, GTF is especially over played though I do find it a better song than Wishlist.

"Last Kiss" is getting the pummeling of a life time!  To bad, but hey, that's how it goes.  But before it dies, here's a quick little anecdote related to this song:

One evening I was driving down Main St. in Placerville and someone was holding up traffic ahead of me.  I was stopped next to a bar and the people sitting outside smoking all looked depressed (you have to smoke outside in California).  "Last Kiss" had just started playing on my RVM CD so with windows rolled down I bumped the volume up a bit and all of the sudden these depressed people got big smiles on there faces, I heard a few "ALRIGHT"s and got a few big thumbs up.  I waved back and moved on, having done my civic duty to cheer up the lonely drunks in front of Hangman's Tree Bar.

    Easiest vote ever!
Anything you lose from being honest
You never really had to begin with.

Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.

Agree on Last Kiss vote, Dimi.  I like Man of The Hour (and the subject matter gets to me when heard in person @ a show) but prefer the others more.

Looks like Man Of The Hour might get to ten votes. I can see that. It's a good song but it's misplaced on a greatest hits collection.

True. Wasn't it put in there over Crazy Mary at the last minute?

Admittedly, Last Kiss is doing better than I thought it would. I would have guessed that it would get about 90% of the votes.

    Off He Goes
Never gotten into Off He Goes, don't know why because it's a great song. Obviously. But... I don't know... maybe it should have been on one of Neil Youngs 70s albums instead.

I think a lot of people see it as a wasted vote so they are throwing it elsewhere.

I appreciate the rationale behind using this strategy but I sometimes wish everyone would vote how they "really felt" to get a true picture of things.
