Whine time

brianluxbrianlux Moving through All Kinds of Terrain. Posts: 40,773
I know, nobody likes a whiner, but we all do it sooner or later, right?

So I'll start it off with some major whinage.

Just in the last week or so:  major rat damage to my car again, fuel sensor blown out on my wife's car, diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma, my dentist told me I had to have a crown replaced and another filling done, got a nail in my car last night 130 miles from home and limped it home only to find the A/C in the house has gone out and we're having the hottest frickin' June I've ever experienced,  A/C guy got hung up on another job today and it's hotter than hell in here.

Otherwise, life is a bowl of cherries.

And please, no "ooh poor baby".  Tell me suck it up, hack or pack or something!

I have three crowns and I've always wondered if they would last a lifetime.
    Thanks for the answer

The answer that you seek is in your thread title, Brian. You just need to remove an "h".

Oh man, sorry!  But look at it this way, the one that is going is my first and it was done about 34 years ago.  You can relax for a while!

I'm doing just that right now as I write this!

They don't eat, they don't sleep, but they do feed on Brian's vehicle engines. Go figure.

Rats love to chew on modern cars, particularly the wires because many manufacturers us a soy based material in the coating/insulation.

My car rat damage has included having the wires chewed, the insulation on the firewall between the engine and the dash chewed, and some of the insulation under the hood chewed.  I had a rats nest built in the cab filter area once, another in the a/c blower unit and another in the large Prius battery cooling blower.  Also, one of the rats building a nest somehow made it's way into an interior part of the engine and was killed by an inside belt in that location.

So now that you know what the fu*ck rat damage is, Rollings, my friend, you can say "rat damage is fu*cked!"  Yes, it is!  :anguished:

Cannot recommend it highly enough.   And it's not a rich man's car.  I saved for 4 years to pay about half of it right off, got a good deal on payments and then added what I was saving in gas to the payments to reduce the interest.  A little creative budgeting made it affordable and I'm planning on getting 300,000 miles out of it.  Best choice I ever made that way.

Now, if the rats would just leave it alone I'd be in fine shape!

Good to hear you got it back but bummer about the damage and stolen goods.  Hopefully nothing irreplaceable lost and hopefully you'll get some insurance coverage.
