    Admittedly, nobody as pathetic as Kathy Griffin did a stunt like this, but there were probably dozens of incidents.

    Sorry, but the majority leader of the senate carries a hell of a lot more weight and influence than some, apparently washed up comedian I never heard of, doing a stupid publicity stunt that's been widely condemned. But keep going on with your faux outrage. Has Trump officially spoken about his outrage over the Portland stabbing that resulted in two deaths? Brilliant leadership right there.

    Nobody as famous as Kathy Griffin, of course, but that's not saying much because she's essentially famous for trying to be famous and failing.

    I won't be engaging this topic for long because she is a hack and doesn't deserve the attention this has drawn.  Her political opinions are amateur and her comedy is even worse.

    She's an "edgy" comedian, apparently. Edgy comedians talk about this kind of stuff all the time and no one pays much attention to them, because they're just comedians. This stunt was gross and excessive and not even funny. 

    And in a quick scan online I don't see anyone lauding this. It's not like this has widespread approval. Not like, say, politicians who assault reporters and get all sorts of kudos for it.

    Right? This story was on the morning news in Canada and I'm sure in many other countries around the world. I don't think the incident is being taken particularly lightly, lol. As far as I can tell, there is more outrage about this than there ever was about Obama effigies, simply because the person who did it is "famous".
