It is. Neil Young made an album and toured with them. It doesn't get more influenced and inspired than that.
That's a pretty good point. He was influenced/inspired enough by them to want to record an album with them. I was kind of like the other poster. Thinking that only younger people can be inspired by older people. I guess it also works the other way around.
