    getting married in a month.

thin air was the obvious choice for us but i am not so sure about it. amongst the waves sounds pretty cool too.

ditto with YL. the very last song of the night.

Our wedding was at the courthouse - me, my sweetheart and the officiant, that was it.

No music at the time, but after? A shitload, just between us. Very sweet and intimate and personal.

Throw Your Arms Around Me was played at home, afterward, along with other relevant tunes (such as Tool's H).

(and I kissed him in at least 155 places :) )

Memories...like the corners of my mind............

My wife and I played to future days for our first dance. It was really nice. Now every time we hear the song we think of our wedding day. Our wedding cake had the stickman figures on top, but they were modified with a tux and dress.... Which worked well because I am a male and she is a female.

Married this year in Kauai. We played Future Days. Beautiful song.

My wife and I had 'better days' as our wedding song - 'the future's paved with better days' seemed right for us.

Everyone is different, just go with what feels right. Good luck and enjoy your wedding day.

My wife walked down the isle to a piano version of nothingman. We were introduced to Ed singing hide your love away and our 1st dance was to thin air. I can't believe it's been 2years already.

We eloped and got married before the Ed show in Memphis and went to the show in our wedding attire. Our best wedding gift was a show by the man himself and a kickass poster by Munk One that somehow perfectly fit.
Later in the summer we had a family reception. My aunt in law decorated our cake with the three crooked hearts, which were also in the header of our invitations. Each of our tables was named like a PJ song, I still have the table map :)

    I got married last saturday!
As the first song we played Future Days, when we sign the papers and leave the Registry Office......for the opening we danced to Just Breath.
To the conclusion the DJ played Yellow Ledbetter, and the rest of the people in attendance danced one last time together on this evening / morning........
It was awesome, a great day for me and my wife :x :-c

A friend of ours played YLB/ Little Wing on his guitar while we did the "wedding dance" ( Not sure if there is a special song/tune in US but in Denmark we have something called "brudevals" and the crowd gathers around you and gets closer and closer and finally the pick up the groom and take of his shoes and cut of the tips of his socks ) we ended of course with that …

There is a version of harvest moon where Eddie toasts a couple at the end, it would sound like he's toasting you personally!

Not PJ, but we went with Chris Cornell's cover of Thank You. Also walked back down the aisle to setting forth and had other songs such as just breathe and without you played whilst signing the register etc.

Never knew that mate, that's awesome!

Setting forth is a particularly apt choice for a wedding I think

No way I would have been able to persuade mrs f with that ilk of songs!

Congrats man, great. Here's one for ya:

Inxs-beautiful girl. Posted the song on the robin Williams thread because of the connection of depression and suicide. But the song isn't about that.

Congrats to everybody! Thanks for this thread, I am seeing some great last minute ideas. We are getting married on September 6th and the wedding is heavily influenced by the band and it's family. Gonna start the ceremony with Metamorphosis Two. :)

Back in 05' we decided no Pearl Jam in the wedding. It was a good decision - made a huge hand picked playlist of everything from James Brown to The Darkness and people had a blast.

I wouldn't get too excited about making wedding plans... lol... I learned early on in the process that my female had a very specific agenda for her wedding, and if my opinions didn't align with her agenda it just resulted in a fight... very early on I learned to just say "yes" and let her do her thing... i'd advise all men to do the same... lol...

i had decided the same thing... but she decided on future days for the first dance, and as per my post above, I just said "yes"...

I really wanted Song of Good Hope by Glenn... but whatever, it still went off great.

my wife had picked everything else that was played... she wanted poppy dance songs... I just said "yes"... it's her day after all...
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

Lyrics remember old friends who couldn't be there. Advice the old can't give away, that the youh wouldn't listen to anyway. All you need is Love. Sounds like a wedding to me!

Hard to Imagine no one's suggested this yet...

My wife and I were married 12 years ago. She walked down the aisle to "bron-yr-aur" by Jimmy Page. After our vows, we played "can't help falling in love" pearl Jam live Memphis 2000. Our first dance was to "true love waits" radiohead live. It was pretty sweet, especially when the guitar kicked in during CHFIL. Still rockin, and looking forward to St Paul!
