I love watchin Stone in these early years - sometimes doesn't even look like his legs are attached lol he's got some moves - like the feet crossing behind him when he turns - oh and the jumping jacks and jumping on one foot other leg out and skipping/galloping across the stage.... 8->
Oh please let it rain today.

I couldn't disagree more. Jack was my favorite. It's no coincidence that Jack was at the helm for pearl jam best three albums.

    Ahh, the duckwalk.

For me, he was never more endearing than the intro to In Hiding on SVT.

And by the way, 1996 is what, going on 19 years? Way to put pressure on the poor guy, OP.

Stone, pay no mind to anyone and come as you are. You go, girl!

Stone totally fucks up coming out of the break in the middle. Can't figure out how to play the chorus. After the song he shows everyone his fuck up. I love Stone. My favorite by far.

Jack was the drummer on the Vitalogy tour, not on the record itself (apart from stupid mop, as already said).. Someone here needs to learn a little more PJ history.

Wow, I can't believe this thread is still alive...i posted this back in July...u all are the best:) Don't take such offense to my Jack comments...I loved him and he definitely brought a special groove and spirituality to the band...but I'm just saying on hail, hail it looks like he has a harder time keeping up and the band sounds a little out of balance...imo

Foxy Mop isn't a song IMO. Its the only PJ 'song' I don't like and don't listen to.

Listening to the performance of Hail, Hail from '96 compared to a performance of it from 2014 is a totally different experience. I believe their performance of songs evolves over time and the original version's tempo, style, etc. is often lost.

This is why I need to see the band at least one concert during a tour supporting any new album they release. Their performance of that album's songs won't ever be any rawer or more original to form at any other point in time.

There is nothing better than listening to them perform songs live during the tour supporting a new album. Vitalogy songs performed in '94 & '95, No Code songs in '96, Yield songs in '98 and Binaural songs in '00. Just go back and listen to some bootlegs from those tours and compare the performances to now. Quite a difference. Like they say, something can only be original once.
